Internet Explorer n00b question

I have this weird little issue:

when I want to right click an image and chose "save as..." I only get an option to save it as .bmp even though the image is actually .gif or .jpg

anyone had this happen and knows how to fix this?

thanks

That usually happens when you let the window open for too long, usually refreshing the page will let you save the image in its original format.

Then it might be that they were originally saved in .bmp

Something to do with clearing your browser cache...give that shot. Delete your temporary files, then try to save your pic.
