I didn't think of this as a Tom Cruise movie, I just like sci-fi flicks. Killer special effects, and honestly, I didn't think the story was so weak/awful. I know it is cool to bash Cruise, but this was a good sci-fi movie. Entertaining, and worth the eight bucks or whatever it costs to get in the theater.

Never seen such an aweful movie as War of the worlds.

Major let down after all the hype.

It's probably the worst movie of the year...

the movie wasn't that soooo bad, but it was "just ok".
good special effects, but no essence in the story at all.

I think it was really good, and call me a madman, I'm going to watch it in the theater for a THIRD time with another bunch of friends.

I thought it was ok but the ending sucked. Waaay to predictable. I thought they could have come up with a better ending.

ya the movie had a GREATTTTTTTTTTT imaginative ending, really...lol

Special Effects = Great
Cast = Good
Storyline = Good
Ending = HORRIBLE

PLUS: Many unexplained situations in the movie. For example: If all the cars in the world are broken, how does Tom Cruise manage to find the one car in the world that works. Even the army had trucks that worked. But NOBODY else in the world???

I thought it was a Fantastic movie! I want to see it again.

A couple of DJs 'remixed' or dubbed over the original CBC broadcast with some cool drum & bass, trance and other electronic delights, and I must admidt, for the first time I listened to the entire thing.
