Fuck! I lost all my bookmarks in FF
 

Damn, suddenly all of them are gone, hundreds of valuable bookmarks gone. I did not install anything at all nor did something funny.

Any help much appreciated

thunderbird did the same thing to me today, but with all my email... but i got it back *thank god*

go look in THIS folder... see if you can find anything...
C:\Documents and Settings\YOURNAMEHERE\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles

Make sure you turn on invisble folders... at least save it all if theres a folder in there -- thats where all your bookmarks SHOULD be.

(but thats all i know... go on mozilla's site and see what other users say... cause its happened before to me as well)

a flaw in FF? couldn't be.

Damn I`m seeing this happening all the time.
I love FF but something got screwed in the latest release or some extension was screwing it up for me so I switched to Opera.And I think I`m staying here.Much faster and much more stable.

I turned on invisible foldes, but the funny thing is that I only have two folders there, one called "Microsoft" and the other "PGP", there is no "Mozilla" folder.

I wouldn`t do that...search around with google first.System restores are for OS screw ups, not individual programs I think.

I gave up on that resource sucking pig..it locked me out and took my bookmarks also

If there is one thing you have to do no matter what you use, its backup everything. I keep multiple backups of bookmarks, e-mail folders, image folders, everything data related you have to get in the habit of constantly backing up.

Anything can happen to fuck you up. If you have backups on different machines you'll always be ok.

i always back up everything i do with my pc.

Hapened to me a few weeks agoa nd then came back on its own after a day or two
