Can Lance be beat?
He is going to win his 7th in a row tomorrow. How long of a streak will he have?
|
He's retiring.
|
Simply put no..... He is going to retire so he wont every have to feel that sting of defeat. Good move to go out on top of your game. :thumbsup
|
I bet the competition is glad to hear that . . . but how many people say they are going to retire and don't?

by the gap he is going to win by this year, i wish he would reconsider. i think he could do 8....
i love his intensity. i saw him race once in austin, tx and he was amazing to see in person. he demolished the other riders |
He could probably win 3-4 more ... but he's retiring on top of his game ... and no ... he won't be beat by anybody of our generation ...
|
The Tour isn't something you say you will retire from and then do not.
Cycling is too grueling of a sport to stay on top, you can't even compete with consistency at a world class level until you are into your 30's. It takes that much maturity. The riders in the tour will all look like concentration camp victims by the end of the race. Damn! Did you see Rasmussen wipe out twice and go thru 4 bikes in the Time Trial today? It has been an Awesome Tour! Go Lance! |
he will run for governor of texas - that is the rumor
|
Its one of the greatest athletic achievements of all time really.
An amazing athelete. |

I have watched all seven of his wins and none of his rivals was even close to catching him.

I think Ullrich would've never won the Tour that time, if Riis was in the position to ride his own race that year, instead of riding for Ullrich.. There's so many if's, think about Beloki falling and breaking his leg in 2003, he was good that year, and the only one that could give Armstrong a hard time.. Next year, watch Alejandro Valverde, Ivan Basso or Alexander Vinokourov... Ullrich doesn't stand a chance against these guys :2 cents: |

He did it the 7th time. That man is really astonishing - he's a fantastic example for what men are capable if they are determined to do it.
|
It will be funny if he decides to run for another year and nail it again ... I bet all hopes are up for the other runners in the competition next year since lance is out
|
Armstrong will definitely not come back. Team Discovery has signed there team for next year and he won't be with them.
|
He just won his 7th this time, and I knew he will. ;)
