A few years ago, some of you may remember I had an ingrown toenail and took pics of the surgery. Well I studied those pics and performed the same surgery on myself a few nights ago.

I was working in the yard all day, and the ingrown was so bad by night time I could barely walk. It was late and no podiatrists are open that late. so....

First, I took these tools,

and then I ripped out my own ingrown toenail.

The leatherman I had used earlier in the yard to fuck with some sprinklers so I had to wipe the mud off. All other tools I wiped with my shirt first so they would be clean.

Next I studied this pic, and made my first cut.

Then I took the leatherman tool and pryed the nail up as much as I could tolerate before the pain kicked in from the cut. Once I lifted the nail, the pain came and so I took a short breather and then gripped as much of the nail as I could and pulled as hard as I could to rip the nail out.

It broke.

A piece was still was deep down inside. So I took the various other tools and pulled, scraped, sliced and poked to get the rest out. Finally, after about an hour of pain and digging. I finally managed to get a grip on the corner and pulled the rest out with the tweezers you see in my tool collection.

the moment that final piece came out there was instant almost orgasmic relief. I think I felt a hint of what people that enjoy pain strive for. The feeling was a sweet tingling sensation that started at my toe and travelled up my leg. It was very brief. It was like having a legasm.

After the good feeling wore off and the adrenalin settled, I washed it out. Here is a pic of it right after I washed it out.

As you can see, we made the same cuts.
And mine looked just like his after the surgery.

If anyone is in the L.A. area and wants free ingrown toenail removal, hit me up. It's a pretty simple and painful process, but the toegasm afterwards makes it worth while.

That night it hurt a little, but by the next day it was as if I never had an ingrown to begin with.

i always do my cutting and stuff with nail clippers. nothing major though. i just cut off some bump i had on my thumb. hurt a little, bled a little. nows it fine and bump free.

I actually did near the same thing a few days ago. Damn the relief makes it all worthwhile.

I have to do that about once every 3 months. Sucks, but I know how you feel when the pressure finally releases!

i also use the LED on the bottom of my optical mouse to scatter the light through my skin (commonly kown as subsurface scattering). it allows you to see if there is anything in it such as splinters etc. works great.

RedShoe, you cut your toenails a little toooooo short. That's why it's recurring problem. What I suggest is at the next sign of an ingrown or just as your nail starts growing - get some cotton and put it under your nail so it 'learns' to grow over the skin in the 'offending' area. Once you get it to grow over the painful area, never cut it too short again and you've solved the problem.

I love that little pain-relief sensation afterwords. Always ask my wife to press hard on bruises because of that little bit of euphoria afterward. Mmmm... like a nice warm cozy wave.

I do the same. Those cringing have no idea how big of a pain it is and how great it feels when it's gone. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Yeah, no doubt. I hate pain. I'm not into pain, I hate seeing people in pain. I don't like S/M sites... however, I do think I understand why they do what they do. The real ones I mean, not the "tie me up with string and do some light spanking". I'm talking about the "hang me by my balls and kick my face in" kinda people. Those people must really need that much pain to feel the release.

1) Drinking would numb the high.
2) I don't drink except for in front of other webmasters to gain their acceptance.
3) After the ingrown was out, there was no pain. Just a little after the adrenalin wore off, but by the next day it was all good.

You say that like I have control over the matter. You've never met a chronic nail bitter/picker? I pick the nails and rip the nail until they are that close. Look close, do it look like a nail clipper could get that close? Have you ever seen a nail biter? Watch close, I bet the hide their hands a lot. I do. It's fuckin' embarrasing. I always have a little tiny spot of blood in the corner of one nail somewhere. Or a tiny scab, or super sensitive fingers because I bite them way to close.

It would take months of growing my nails to get cotton under them. No way Jose.

Asking me to stop biting my nails is like me asking you to stop blinking your eyelids. It's not gonna happen. And I don't even realize it's happening until I look at my bloddy stumpy fingers.

I hope you cleaned them with the proper stuff or atleast with plain alcohol. You are just asking for an infection if you didn't, that might really fuck your leg up.

You sound a lot like me man. My hands are the same way and at least 8 of my toes are sore at the moment from ripping most of the nail off last night.

I'm betting you've done that before.

the more you cut those fingernails deeper the more ingrown nails you get
that's why I always prevent over biting it.. err cutting...

hahahah Well I didn't want to accuse you of biting your toenails but yeah they do look like they're being yanked too close. I know nail biters / skin biters. I'm the chronic nail biter (which is why I like to get acrylic nails, they last longer :) ) and my husband is the skin biter - all the skin around his nails is bitten off. So yeah I know the pain - and I used to have the same problem with my toes until I stopped cutting them or cutting them almost all the way and then pulling the last bit. The ingrowns were very painful but wearing sandals and walking in heels isn't fun with ingrowns - trust me :)

I'm good at being my own Dr. too :) I'm fully equipped and anyone who wants to avoid a trip to the hospital for ingrown hairs/nails/splinters/or painful pimples, come see me for a quick fix ahahaha

Do you bite your toenails?
I tried to cut it off myself but it really wasn`t helping, and it ended by surgery cut.
The real end of toenail is too deep to pull it off, and it ends on your toe bone, so without numbing it you will really die from the pain and also you`re asking for infection - you can lose your toe if you do it yourself using non sterile items. Wearing sandals is one of the solutions after surgery cut to not allow it to regrow bad way, if you wear too tight shoes like I was wearing it fucks up your toenails.

Redshoe - I used to bite my nails man....ever since I was a little kid. A few years ago I started cutting back on my sugers and carbs (atkins diet). For some reason...and I still haven't figured it out yet - once I started cutting back on the sugers and carbs and shit like that...I never had the urge to bite my nails again. I'm an old fuck and have bitten my nails since I was a kid but for the last few years - I've not bitten my nails at all. Suger is some bad shit bro'- :(

I've manage to quit biting mine, but I still rip them apart with just about anything else besides my mouth. That's the fingers...

I'll rip my toenails down too. It's like I'm addicted to it. I know it's going to hurt like hell the next day, but I still do it.

hahahaha, you're not the only one who does their own toenail surgery, i just did mine 2 nights ago. my toe was so fuckin swollen i couldnt even put shoes on, so i broke out my pedicure tools & fixed it lol (i have a pic if you wanna see it :1orglaugh )

Well that was one disgusting,but interesting read.Very informative.
About a year ago I went to a dermatologist to get rid of a couple of warts I had on my foot.He gave me some sort of acid to put on it everyday.I don`t know what this fucker was thinking about but putting acid on my feet everyday made it impossible to walk after a few days of application.But it managed to make a hole into the verruca.
I then proceeded to pick the little shit out with a needle and a nailcutter.It hurt like hell but I managed to get to the root of it and then I applied the acid directly at the root.Lots more pain.And not in a nice way like you describe here.
The wart dissapeared after about a week never to be seen again.
