.......and sorry, cannot recommend it........not nearly as good as "House of 1000 Corpses"...........was more like a roadie, shoot em up movie, like "Natural Born Killers"........

some real gory parts but overall, a thumbs down for too many gaps in the story and for being, well, on the whole, kind of uninteresting.

It may open with decent numbers but this one will decline 60%-70% in its second week, easily.

well House of 1000 corpses didnt have much of a story line either, It was more of a hour long music video.. Still good money none the less.. I'll have to see the devils rejects to be the judge :P

your ass files thread is getting gigantisch. yeah, wouldnt expect anythign great from it. i mean, it is the sequal to a house of 1000 corpses or whatever it is. i just saw wedding crashers, and i was not disapointed. next on my list is the island.

also got a very long engagement for netflix. good shit. the colors in that and amelie (same directoyr and actress) are amazing. their color correction and lighting people must do wonders.

Did it have anything to do with the character "choptop" from TCM2?

I think the movie is supposed to be different from the first film. Rob Zombie didn't want to do the same thing where victims come to the house and the same shit happens. I personally cannot wait to see this movie tomorrow.

House of 1000 Corpses was awesome. I'm sorry to hear the sequel wasn't up to snuff (errrr) I'll probably wait for the DVD.

the two types of movies were so completely unrelated in style and substance.......the only thing running together was the characters.......House of 1000 Corpses, imo, is a perfect halloween time gothic, creep out, gorefest.....and with a mean streak to it.

this one also has a mean streak, but as i said before, its more like a road movie with some spurts of gore and violence. lets put it this way. it could have been way better.

Well that's kinda sad. Ah well. :(

its got a 71% user rating on rottentomatoes on the tomato-meter, meaning 71% of the ppl who saw it and bothered to report it on the tomato-meter actually liked it enough to give it a passing grade.

thats not bad. thats the exact same user rating War of the Worlds got and I know some that hated that one, and some that really liked it too.

yep i can't recommend it............i don't know what Rob Zombie was going for.......but he was out of his league as a film-maker

I saw the movie yesterday and thought it was awesome. Totally different from house of 1000 corpses (which was what they were going for, it's not supposed to be a sequal).

I watched both movies back to back with a little tchm 2 in between. Had a great time :winkwink: I had never seen any of the movies and enjoyed it :thumbsup

i thought zombie was brilliant after h1000c

RZ should have quite while he was ahead. The script was disjointed and the dialogue kinda forced and clunky. He tried to make a higher quality film that Hof1000C, but I thought Hof1000C was just fine the way it was, a campy, mean gothic horror.

RZ just wasn't up for it on this one. He doesn't have the chops to be a serious film-maker.

Haven't any of the two yet. I'm not a gory-scary type of person.
