;) Talk to you soon

Axeman 07-22-2005 09:52 AM

Shap you know the Isles are getting him.

But maybe we would be better suited to have Tampa get him so we can go watch with more convience?

Axeman 07-22-2005 09:56 AM

Shap you will love this clip btw. A show they are trying to get on in Canada.

I'd love to see Mario-Crosby-Reechi. Talk about a great way to start your career.

GatorB 07-22-2005 10:18 AM

I'd shit if the Lightning got the top pick.

Doctor Dre 07-22-2005 10:20 AM

We all know Crosby is going to the MTL canadian or the Ottawa senators

Paco, of Large Cash. 07-22-2005 10:27 AM

They can't. And they didn't strike THIS year. They were lockout out by the owners. I am happy though the greedy little bitches got buttfucked by the owners.

for some reason i think its gonna be edmonton, no reason at all just a hunch,

but of course of they dont get it Calagry will,

i could not believe the way the city was during our playoff run, it was an amazing thing to expierience.

we have all those bullshit viewer polls where "would you still support hockey if it came back?" 60% voted no, but that is pure bullshit, the minute the puck hits the ice here in Calgary the fans will remember and return in swarms.

i am still debating on season tickets, if we end up with Crosbey i am sure the seat prices will go through the roof, i will have to grab them anyway.

doesnt the lottery start in like 45 min?

Axeman 07-22-2005 11:22 AM

MetaMan it was amazing to see Calgary engulf 17th ave like that during the playoff run. Wish i could have been up there for that. Tampa has a decent vibe downtown, but nowhere near up there.

congrats on the cup win! :thumbsup was indeed an AMAZING series. :)

17th was indeed something insane, i ran drunken up and down the streets humping everyones car LOL.

the city at that time was together like never before, no violence, no valdalism nothing, just great to see a Canadian pasttime bring together our city like that.

if Calgary makes it to playoffs again (at least :winkwink:) im 100% sure the city will be doing the same thing.

just looking back, there were flames flags on 95% of cars here, and i actually mean 95% of the cars, just a truly fun fun time, i cannot wait for a repeat. :)

Doctor Dre 07-22-2005 11:25 AM

I've seen crosby play a couple times and he IS something ... he was totally dominating the leage .

My high school friend (wich I still see sometimes) was playing as a defenceman in his team last year.

Imagine a Western guy like you in Florida during game 7 and you didn't go. WEAK my friend WEAK!

MetaMan 07-22-2005 11:29 AM

it is a breathe of fresh air to see a hockey thread,

When and i use the word when :winkwink: the Flames make the playoffs i suggest anyone from around the world to come and check out Calgary,

it is something like you have NEVER seen.

GO FLAMES GO!

I'm from TO (and yes, I'm a Kings fan) but I was really pulling for Calgary last year. Not so much because they are Canadian because as a group, it was not hard to like these guys. They personify, gritty, hungry, playoff hockey.

Rich 07-22-2005 11:32 AM

Van city Van City Van City

I've already told my wife that if the Canucks win the draw, to give the university she teaches at notice, because we're moving back to Vancouver. Naslund/Bertuzzi/Crosby, umm yeah, I think I likes the sounds of that. Then all they need to do is sign Khabibulin and it's cup time baby.

It was weak! But I blame it on a Canadian boy scheduling his damn wedding on a Monday afternoon on the day of game 7!!!! To have a guy make it from the Bahamas for game 7 and for me to miss it is a disgrace!!

Axeman 07-22-2005 11:36 AM

btw for all not in Canada, you can watch the lottery draft online at
http://www.tsn.ca

they are going through the rules and changes etc right now. Draft at 4pm EST

And what's not to like about Tampa. Do they not personify, gritty, hungry, playoff hockey? They went through a lot of REALLY REALLY bad years they and the Tampa Bay area deserved that cup.

Axeman 07-22-2005 11:43 AM

hahaha thanks asshole!!

No knock on Tampa Bay, but they had so much superstar power up front with St.Louis, Richards, Lecavalier, etc. and the Flames, outside of Iginla, are a bunch of no-names that worked their ass off and played far beyond what most thought they were capable of.

It was pretty much Calgary playing the Cinderella role.

Rich 07-22-2005 11:47 AM

Oh shit, Shap, great pictures, but I wish I hadn't seen them. What a depressing moment for all of Canada. We thought we had the cup for the first time in over a decade.

Oh well, this new agreement makes almost all of our teams instant contenders. :)

Here are two videos. One after the second goal to give Tampa a 2-0 lead. And the other the countdown to the end of the game.

Not great quality but you get the idea :winkwink:

take a look at our GM and there is your answer, you do not need 10 superstars to win, usually you do not win with so many superstars, Calgary had a well rounded team with the best player in the league, that was all that was needed.

Heard the same.if it wasn't for the pile on Moore might not have had any injury..he took the cheap shot at Naslund first.it was a retaliation gone wrong..Bert served his time..remember Mcsorley on Brashir?

Vitasoy 07-23-2005 05:24 AM

Montreal, Vancouver and Ottawa did really well. And of course Pittsburg.
