Toothlessness now an epidemic in Appalachia
 

The central Appalachian states lead the nation in toothlessness. More than 32 percent of Tennessee residents surveyed last year had lost six or more teeth because of decay or gum disease, according to the Centers for Disease Control. That number was 38 percent in Kentucky and 43 percent in West Virginia, which holds the distinction of the most toothless state. Kentucky ranked No. 1 in toothlessness in 2003.

Thats because Americans are too busy taking care of Africans and going to concerts to support money to other countries that they dont have time to take care of their own - but I guess those Christian and Catholic organizations that show all the commercials dont realize that there are Americans that are starving to death every day

Could you point me to some - I have never seen one commercial aired that touted helping American starving children - nor have I ever been snail-mailed requests for help - when requests seem to fill my mailbox every day with ads from groups trying to send money to other countries.
I also have yet to find one grant or program financed by the American taxpayer to help our own other than the wasteland called welfare that doesnt seem to touch these people.

I apologize if this sounds sarcastic but I have pretty strong feelings about helping others when you cant help your own

As a former resident of the great stat of WV I have to say I am not surprised at all by the news.

There is a 'get a job' attitude with domestic poverty. There is very little empathy for low income Americans and Canadians who just need a hand up, not a hand out. If the welfare system was set up to teach people how to get OFF of welfare it would be a much more viable system. Give people access to higher education, decent health care, and also some social training and you'd have a winner. Many people who grown up in poverty and welfare don't know how to dress for an interview, they don't know basic work ethics...these are things that can be taught.

I have seen Plenty of teeth recently, may I suggest these fine folks be 1st in line for the charitable event :Oh crap

Actually moonshine came from England - back in the late 1700s they used to smuggle in white brandy at night and named it after the "nighttime" activity

The sister fucking really took a turn in 1536 when Anne Boleyn of England kinda lost her head ovre it when her hubby accused her of doing it with her brother so he could marry a different hottie

As far as in the US - Im sure that some of those "sister" stories you keep hearing about probably stem from misunderstandings of some scientific research that suggested in-breeding caused some defects - but knowing that its actually a distortion derived from an out of the know press that touts these types of generalizations in their quest to appeal to the masses and sell more commercials, while appeasing the FCC and the government, I'd say that the branches on your family tree are probably all pruned back a ways nowadays?

As far as Nascar I dont have any comments cause I happen to like to doze to the sound of the cars turning left all day

could it be we spend to much on wars???
