Why is there a higher demand for companies with good numbers?

Because it is too hard for most lazy asses to research finding one before it has good numbers.

What is your question? You're asking why companies that perform better are more sought after? That answer should be fairly obvious, unless I'm missing somethere here. icq me.

Um.. because they provide a more solid investment as in less risk?

During my discussion with Ghost Pro I found out that I could word my question in a better way:

How does the profitability of a company and the value of the stock correlate?

the value of a stock or the current price at the exchange ?

Because companied with high profits will give to the shareholders higher dividend

but for example Google Inc. does not pay any dividend at all.
