Cropping in photoshop...

Can anyone tell me how to crop a selection in photoshop so that ONLY the selection remains?

For example, if I select a circle, then crop, the cropped image is still a rectagular shape. How can I crop the image so I only see the circle I selected?

go to select then inverse and delete, or shift+ctrl+i then delete

And make sure you don't have ICQ running. For some reason this command also brings ICQ up as your main window.
