Fight videos. Next huge market?
 

What do you guys think about these fight videos like Almost Illegal, bumfights, Ghetto Fights, etc...? Im a business man and Im were the money is. I think these fight videos are going to be the next huge thing. Those of you that know me have seen how Im trying to get the adult Market and this fight market at the same time with our Almost Illegal series. Our numbers are so crazy. I would love to see some more competition pop up.

Nah, that was the start of it. The introduction. It takes a little time to build a new market and videos like ghetto Fights and bumfights really helped pave the way. People are hooked now. Its a huge market that isnt going to stop growing anytime soon. Thats my opinion at least and the numbers back it up.

Well, if the numbers are there, that's all that matters. I have been seeing more and more of those vids at best buy and such (though they're usually bargain priced). I think the footage is probably pretty hard to get, since they're usually bundled with car or babe footage.

True, but it's all about advertising to the general public. Street racing, Girls gone wild, Fist fights. People love content that comes off as living on the edge. It's the shock factor ladies and gentlemen. People love to buy and watch products that are taboo, why do you think so many of us are rich off of the porn industry? :thumbsup :2 cents:

if Kimbo did a fight DVD, with 5+ of his backyard brawls on there, they would sell like crazy!

I stopped my car the other day by the public pool to watch a gang of little black folk going at it.

One of those big giant swarms that move and flows with the fight.

Went on for 30 minutes before the lifeguards ended up breaking it up. Cops didn't even bother to show.

These kids weren't more than 13 and just kept going at it.

i love to watch fights, you never know whats going to happen. one kid could be winning at one moment and then in the split of a second the other kid could pick up a stick and start beating the fuck out of the other guy. its pure violence and hatred, one on one.

many after highschool fights I have attended in my younger days. nothing like watching some fucking dumbass get beat down and bloodied.

true! sometimes the thrill of not knowing what's gonna happen makes you follow the craze. unpredictabilty is one factor that makes violence marketable.

I think you're a bit late in the fight game ... unless you plan to do better and more original then bumfights ...

I think there is definately a lot of cash in fight videos, but how do you get them?
You just pay some bummers to fight each other?

I think it would be pretty cool to make a paysite with vids of hot girls are fighting... and not cuddling but real fighting

Get good counsel to protect yourselves. I do not know the legalities behind this type of work, but I would have to believe that you have exposure both on the criminal and civil liability fronts. Even if no laws are broken, you would be wise to get your financials situated to protect assets from suits brought forward by the contestants in your films.

Man, this video is so lame ... old people cant fight, they got too much to lose. I love the City of God movie - these kids knew how to fight and be totally devoid of any moral "sheet". Pure survival of the fittest. Or nastiest.

Listen to scoreman and do not trust blindly in the 1st amendment. Criminal part aside, it will not help much in a civil case.

Well Of course I dont trust it 100% but you must understand that people like me or like the news stations depend on the 1st, we would be fucked without it. It would be impossible to go ask some gangsters after a fight if I could get them to sign a contract. :1orglaugh

Ummm. It depends. I have found that there is a huge market for real fight videos (oh and its easy to call out a fake from a real) and also there is a huge market for just fight videos in general (even if they are not caught on camera such as UFC) but I warn people the market hates fake fights set up to look real. Nothing looks more chessy and stupid.
