Any wakeboarders here?
 

what's the best wakeboard for ocean riding? I've been using strapped kiteboards because that's pretty much what we have here. Unfortunately it's a surfing dominated world I live in here, but if I were to order one with boot bindings from the mainland, what's best for ocean use....

Ever run into a shark?

I was just reading an article in a magazine the other day about wakeboards. It seems the Hyperlite 3-D.S. Bio2 143 is a great board for all water contidions.

On the flip side Amp... what would you suggest for someone that wants to get into surfing?

ice: get a BIG board. Preferably rent one for a while first to see if you like it before spending the cash on one.

hey amp...

my buddy just returned from hawaii... he was on one of the smaller islands where theres not much tourism... he went to this one park/trail.. the gate was locked.. it said 'closed until further notice' and there was a dead goat hanging on a stick with the insides taken out... any idea of why they do this?

I prefer skiing. Wakeboarding is ok though.

can't say I've ever seen that before....
maybe the goat committed suicide?

thought it had someting to do with maybe someone dying there.... he asked the islanders, and no one would say anything..

I've only wakeboarded on lakes, but my friend went in bermuda last year and had a blast.

Is it a lot tougher to wakeboard on the ocean? I've only done it on lakes, so pure wake without being affected by waves.
