locked your keys in the car? solution

Another way to "Unlock Your Car"

One can't believe it, but this works -- who'd a "thunk" it???

Have you locked the keys in the car?

If you lock your keys in the car and the spare keys are home, call someone
at home on your cell phone and ask them to get your car keys. Hold your cell
phone about a foot from your car door and have the other person at home
press the unlock button on your keys while holding it near the phone on
their end.

Your car will unlock. It will save someone from having to drive your keys to
you. Distance is no object. You could be hundreds of miles away, and if you
can reach someone who has the "remote" for you r car, you will be able to
unlock the doors (or the trunk this way!)

Steve 07-21-2005 01:16 PM

Expo_Vids 07-21-2005 01:22 PM

I think you need to fill up your blinker fluid first.

After Shock Media 07-21-2005 01:23 PM

Well you could just go outside with the phone to try it.

Now I know for a fact this will not work on my vehicle. I have no buttons.

HarrytheNazi 07-21-2005 01:25 PM

I heard you had to break the window first.

MattO 07-21-2005 01:27 PM

NaughtyAlysha 07-21-2005 01:27 PM

BoNgHiTtA 07-21-2005 01:31 PM

Lol door unlocks are based on radio waves, not audible tones.

This is THE solution :banana

abetech 07-21-2005 01:33 PM

Yea, this is complete BS. All fobs work off of RF signals. Even if they were ultrasonic based your phone filters out everything that isn't within a narrow band of our hearing range.

Just keep an extra door key in your wallet. Otherwise call a tow truck.

KRL 07-21-2005 01:35 PM

That may work depending on the frequencies involved.

To see this theory work just hold your phone next to your pc speaker and play this audio file.

abetech 07-21-2005 01:37 PM

That wave is kind of a catch tune. Can you find me one of funkytown next?

Hollywood Horwitz 07-21-2005 02:24 PM

yep, i'm calling BS,i cant see how its possible..besides i have manual locks anyways so this doesnt apply to me..

And when this doesn't work, use your cell phone to call AAA. They will send a locksmith and you will be in your car in no time;)

DateDoc 07-21-2005 02:29 PM

Try OnStar it works better.

sextoyking 07-21-2005 02:29 PM

When I got my new GM truck a couple of yrs ago it came with onstar, and you could call them up, give them your pass code and they could unlock your doors automaticly.

Tried it once, worked well :)

Vitasoy 07-21-2005 03:09 PM

Heard this before, I don't think so.

Radik 07-21-2005 03:09 PM

Yeah, uhm; yeah thats not gonna work.

Manowar 07-21-2005 03:12 PM

no way that would work

squeezeboobs 07-21-2005 03:45 PM

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh I just played this wav file tone in my phone and it called someone. What number did it call??

Try it. This one worked.

woj 07-21-2005 05:01 PM

It`s different. Car alarms work with radiofrequencies. That means you actually have to transmit a radio signal for it to work and you can`t transmit an RF through a phone.
The phone thing works because phones work with the tones generated when you press the buttons.

$$$ 07-21-2005 09:05 PM

Well, There's audible tones that trick some payphones into crediting your call a quarter if you play the tone the payphone makes when you drop in a quarter. There's also tones to edit what a caller ID will read when you call somebody. My buddies have called me up as "911-420-1337" under the name "GOD" before. Also, They did this before services like covertcall.com existed.

sickkittens 07-21-2005 09:34 PM

More gullible people.

CovertCall is offline now.

Does anybody know of similar sites?

Yeah, some kids i know in the Defonic Crew defaced covertcall.com and another popular call spoofing service. They rooted the entire site and shit on it. They're affiliated with the same people I know who brought you the Paris Hilton hack. Anyway, people are in jail because of that. I was always the guy with a low profile saying "relax before you get raided". They didn't listen :1orglaugh

Rantan 07-21-2005 10:08 PM

the only way that could work is if the control is dependant on the sound not whatever RF the remote is emitting, if it is just the sound, then eople would have copied and would be running around breaking into cars without breaking anything!
