if youre gonna shave...

... at least do it right. geez.

when i see 2 or 3 signups an hour steady then BAM suddenly no signups for 10 hours, even with steady traffic, that is just too obvious. you fucking sponsors need to learn to shave so that us dumbass webmasters dont notice. i mean you must think we're pretty fucking stupid to not notice this or think its odd. :321GFY

ok im calm now.

m0rph3us 01-29-2002 12:32 PM

that's porn for ya.. up and down always.

Brian911 01-29-2002 12:34 PM

they will just blame it on the processors, already tried to mail some of my sponsors .

but on the other hand: theyre paying $35 per free sign-up or trial .. they wouldnt survive 2 weeks without shaving IMHO

Trust me you're not being shaved.

During those 10 hour down times, try signing up yourself and you'll see that your signup is counted.

Nobody gets sign ups when china is surfing... gimme a break:)

maybe you should take into consideration what countries are surfing during those hours?

The law of averages works in a specific way you know.

Say you have a conversion rate of 1:100.

The law of averages does NOT say that every 100th hit will be a sale. It says that if you put your product in front of enough people, 1 out of 100 will buy it.

Sometimes you get what appears to be 5:100 buying and then no one else until the average catches up with you.

Or you may have 1:1000 and it looks like you aren't doing shit, but then all the sudden you get 9 in a row and it's averaged back out.

The law of averages also only holds true when you have a large enough sample for the math to become apparent. If you convert something 1:100 but you only send it 200 attempts, well there is not enough there to be sure you are averaging 1:100. You may need to send 2000 hits to get the math right.

But once it's there, it's there.

When you have mass quantities of traffic, it's much easier to say, hey we're having a down hour, but you still have to have the traffic and sales to know that this is true.

i agree 100% with KimmyKim... and i see your point.

however, the fact that myself and 3 other friends signed up and those were never credited to me... now THAT is a problem. :)

I can tell you that if you did that in my program I would shit-can your account and that would be the end of it.
