Vibehosting

Hi,
Does anyone have a clue what's going on with fucking Vibehosting? My server has been down for 16 hours and all fucking e-mails sent to them bounced. I will kill those fuckers with my bare hands when I get them!!

Wasn't the owner underage ?
why the heck would you host with kids in the first time.

Good luck anyway.

When you buy a server do you ask the owner about his age???

Never understood why people would host there(or any other "strange" hosts)

Good luck tho

when you buy a server you buy it from a trusted source or you investigate
the hell out of the company.
Getting a server with some voodoo company that fights the price war its just
asking for trouble.
I hope you've saved enough money to cover for the downtime.

OK, how do you check hosting companies? Can you give me some clues?

Go wth respected companies, and you will be fine...

www.isprime.com for example but also

www.natnet.com www.cavecreek.com www.oxeo.com

You can't go wrong with those.

1. check for how long they've been in business
2. search for reviews about them
3. test their support, send them e-mails at different hours, try to call their phone...
4. ask them about some clients they host
5. ask them about the number of employees (vibehosting is one man show)
6. ask them about the network, if they own the servers or they rent them, if they have their own space in a dc, if they have their own ips...

having checked this things I'm sure the list will get pretty short.

Not saying that someone that doesn't meets all criterias can't provide a good
hosting environment, however if you're running a bussines its not worth saving a few bucks.
Ask yourself how much you got to lose in case of downtime, if you lose nothing they you can go with whatever shitty host you find. If you lose money then consider spending those money on a host that wont cause
you this kind of troubles.

Yes, you are absolutely right. Thank you for these useful clues
