a bomb ass cj site

i know that a lot of you hate the idea of the cj and others say that it is the best because you dont have to do as much work as with a tgp... now how the hell do you build a bomb ass cj site and what are some pointers or links that i could read on this. if anyone could give some pointers i want to make a couple and see how they do.

thanks to who ever.

i really wouldn't suggest building a CJ site now, honestly if your not an established CJ site already your too late.

lagwagon 01-29-2002 01:38 AM

so why is it so hard to get into now... how could it be to late?

i don't know why,

osiris from PCAVS tried it had it up to 6k then it died, and he is a great designer. the idea is just dead.

lol @ waste & "don't know why"

It doesn't matter how well you design something or how much traffic you have if you don't entice and GET the surfers to click on your banners and have your sponsers running decent tours that convert.

[Ibill not crediting signups may kill ya if you run higher bandwidth and are using sponsers that use ibill though.]

I don't see how cjs get ANY form of quality traffic and certainly not bookmarkers and thus repeat quality traffic that you may be able to convert with other sponsers you show on your site also.

High traffic figures mean NOTHING to me... Cjs may have higher traffic stats figures than even some quality tgps, BUT, most of this is just the same CRAP TRAFFIC being bounced around from cj to cj and probably even back to you again.

You make money off cjs by having inordinate amounts of traffic and getting lucky that if you have that much crap someone will eventually signup to something.

But the numbers & possible bandwidth... fuck what a waste.

Build a site and get quality traffic and utilise the sponser pods, gods etc and other content and bonuses they may ALLOW you to directly link from their sites.

Btw you'll make extra money by diversifying what you offer your surfers... Add some products and other things that may be of interest to them that they can't download for free.

I disagree. I think it can be done if ya know what you're doing & do it right.

Wiredoctor 01-29-2002 10:48 AM

Rip, I also agree with most of what you say... I hate cj's though..they are ruining the biz by fucking the surfers. It's almost like taking them by the shirt collar, and shaking (jerking) them so hard a few pennies might fall out of their pockets, but you can count on this, after the first jerking, they will never trust or click any ads ever again.

Also go to the AWI board if you want to hang with the CJ,ers and cheaters.

TheJimmy 01-30-2002 12:04 AM

I've had one in the past and it sucked ballz....

I'll be doing one in the future and this is what I've learned, it is for the 'last ditch effort' traffic ONLY, and to bring a lil fresh traffic back into your empire of sites. ALSO, only trade with people you know! 99.9% of the CJ'ers from what I recall will send you 15th page timed console hits which are completely worthless....you want click in click out shit from people you know and trust...

boneprone 01-30-2002 12:08 AM

Just what we need. More SHIT on the internet.
