I hate people in my mail box.

I found a note in my mail box today so I called the # and told them that I was pissed about them going in my box and the lady just laughed at me.

I called my post office and they will be sending them an estimated bill for all the homes around here. If you feel like talking to the dumb bitch her # is 1-866-540-8555, feel free to give her a call.

:winkwink:

After Shock Media 07-20-2005 10:17 AM

yeah it is annoying and illegal.
Really annoy the hell out of the manager at the post office until they do more than just send her the estimated postage costs. They can also fine that person a nice chunk o cash.

TurboAngel 07-20-2005 10:23 AM

I will be at the post office in the AM, I got up at 5am today so it will have to wait. Oh boy I have PMS on top of it they will be having a bad day if they don't do more. I'm sure the lady is sick of me calling and hanging up on her but I'll keep doing it. :winkwink:

Sheri Santiago 07-20-2005 10:37 AM

LOL!

Some people just have no clue. *bump* for TurboAngel. ;-)

Paco, of Large Cash. 07-20-2005 10:40 AM

why is it illegal for someone, aside from a letter-carrier, to place a note in your mailbox? Is that not what it is for?

Now, if they are rummaging, shoot em dead!

Diddo ... no answer.

I believe it's because any mailbox becomes property of the us postal service and anyone tampering with it besides them and the box owner is subject to prosecution

TurboAngel 07-20-2005 10:45 AM

Well it's a Federal offence.

Thanks Sheri for the bump I hope you called.

Not arguing, just trying to understand: I can not place a note in my neighbours mailbox nor can I place misdirected mail the box it was intended for?

Again, I am not going through the mail, just adding to.

Typically nobody is going to complain if you place the misdirected mail in your box into theirs. Technically you are to have the postal service do it for you though.
Nor are you supposed to attach a note to the outside of the mail box.

For the most part though it ussually is done by cheap ass sales people who do not wish to pay postage. My fiance see's it a lot with several of her competitors in the landscaping/yardcare biz.

You would have to put the note on the door or the out side of the mail box.

:)

Peaches 07-20-2005 11:08 AM

Because the mail truck can't make it to most of the houses on the mountain, our boxes are all at the front gate and you need keys to open them. It's SO nice not having to deal with crap inside, outside or those obnoxious plastic bags with rocks in them thrown on the driveway :)

TurboAngel 07-20-2005 11:26 AM

This lady is funny as shit, she's talking now or well yelling.

riddler 07-20-2005 01:04 PM

Whos the number for? Just a home based business or a switch board?

Elli 07-20-2005 01:12 PM

We have people delivering flyers here all the time. Just pay some high school kid to do rounds a few times a week. So that's illegal in the states?

Fines + they charge the company the cost of postage for each piece of mail they find delivered to a mail box.

Mr. Soul 07-20-2005 02:29 PM

What was is for?

stroker 07-20-2005 03:56 PM

tristan_D 07-20-2005 11:14 PM

Deej 07-21-2005 04:47 AM

start calling her again.....WAKE UP CALLLL!!!!!!!

Barefootsies 07-21-2005 05:49 AM

It is (in the States) for anyone other than letter carrier's, or the owner at the address to put ANYTHING in a mailbox.

That is why you have those newspaper, and other things on (some) mailboxes so they can put shoppers, and all that other shit you immediately toss into the trash NOT in your box.

You also see examples when people stick shit on your door, or in between front doors as opposed to dropping it in your mail. Because it's illegal, and most legit companies know this.

Yep you're %100 right.

SouthernGirl 07-21-2005 08:08 AM

it's becoming clear how you and TurboFace ended up in such a hellacious situation with your previous neighbor benzWitRims.

Could you be any more immature?

SouthernGirl 07-21-2005 08:11 AM

she commited a crime by putting something in your mailbox, you reported it to the poper authorities ( the postmaster), and yet you continue to take the law into your own hands. Do you realize that the crime you are commiting by harassing this woman is much more serious than her putting postageunpaid mail in your box? you have let your anger overcome your common sense.

grumpy 07-21-2005 08:25 AM

You have to explain the usa mailbox system. Pretty unknown to europeans.

A troll? Nah, just trying to save you from yourself. Why don't you just calm down, and forget this woman and her mail?

You will end up with hypertension if you let these things get you so worked up.. :2 cents:

TurboAngel 07-21-2005 08:47 AM

I am calm but I don't think that anyone has the right to go into my mail box, do you? Can't you post in your real name?

:)

Your right to justice ended when you reported it to the Post Master. Don't be a vigilante; you'll be the one who ends up in jail.

TurboAngel 07-21-2005 09:22 AM

Thank you for being so concerned about me.
