Water Bill In Las Vegas

3 bedroom house, 2 adults, 2 teens, 4 dogs, 2 cats.

Total: $14.92

I'm sorry, but that is just way too low.

Yeah I know, sounds strange to be bitching, but we are living in a desert during one of the worst droughts in history and after all the water we use for a month all I have to pay is $14.92?

Something so valuable, and so scarce here should cost more.

je_rome 07-20-2005 02:42 AM

what? that can't be? i envy you then..

BIGTYMER 07-20-2005 02:59 AM

Just take it and enjoy the lil bill.

TurboAngel 07-20-2005 03:01 AM

My bill is about $50 but we get a bill every 3 months.

:)

Damn.... do you have a lawn? A pool. Please tell me your secret. Group showers maybe? If it's yellow let it mellow?

Mines riding around $100.00. I envy you.

Mine was $0.00 for the last 12 months :)

Pete-KT 07-20-2005 04:56 AM

Isnt that because of some grandfathered law they have in Vegas?

llporter 07-20-2005 05:46 AM

Damn that's a lot - time to drill a well -

Ours is included in our HOA fees unless you go over a certain amount (which I've only done once when we had a faulty toilet). We're getting ready to hook up to county water and I have a feeling my bill will be going up :(

Sheri Santiago 07-20-2005 06:38 AM

That is really low for living in the desert - ours are higher. Here in Phoenix the bill is about $80/month, which also includes garbage/recycling - that's for two people, no pets.

Furious_Female 07-20-2005 06:43 AM

I've always had well water... never had a water bill. Except on commercial property.

Rinaldo 07-20-2005 06:50 AM

In FLorida it's cheap as hell too.
If you rent it's always free.

THis month it was $27 with a 4 year old that leave the water running 19 min. while she brushes her teeth and myself who enjoys taking 40 min showers.
My mom who's very careful about her water pays 11 dollars a month

wildgirl 07-20-2005 06:54 AM

I think Kingpins is right, just take it and enjoy your lil bill :thumbsup

Giorgio_Xo 07-20-2005 07:04 AM

I pay a little over $18 a month for water in Vegas for a 2 bedroom condo. I pay $100 a month for water in Folsom for a 3 bedroom house. Go figure.

haha. my water and sewer bill? zero.

own the well, high tech septic system.

BVF love your sig!

eroswebmaster 07-20-2005 09:21 AM

My garbage bill comes seperate.

But still, IMO that is low for such an important life savig commodity.

It's not gas, but then I can live without gas, water I can't.

gangbangjoe 07-20-2005 09:22 AM

He died, his heart exploded from all that crack he was smoking.
:winkwink:

I wonder if that indirectly has to do with the casino (belligio fountains, treasure island show, etc) and golf courses lobbying to keep their water bills down.
