ISPRIME (hosting) Good?

If anyone has or is using ISPRIME.com as their host please tell me here what you think or thought. I have a sales person swearing by their great service. I want to hear it from you guys. Is it all that?

To make it short - ISPRIME kicks ass. Most reliable host I ever used, fair prices and the tech support is available 24/7.

Can't go wrong with them :thumbsup

They rule

bottom line

They are good, but if you get a virtual account you must know that their Webalizer stats are only updated once a day and no monthly totals are kept.

They are owned by the same people that run pimpserver, zfreehost , and a bunch of other little free hosts that open up then build a little traffic then Redirect it all...So maybe their paid hosting (Isprime) is ok, but their way of thinking is that of a cheater.....
Just my 2 cents....:2 cents:

I host a box there that does 5 mbit, excellent level of service, uptime, staff. Their techs help me with my code all the time, half of my CGI's wouldn't work if they didn't help me with the C/C++/PHP code for it.

I had a virtual there also, and service was also pretty good, no downtime...

And about zfreehost. They are hosting customers of there's, just like sexcropolis is a customer of theirs...

Would you say that since verio takes most of the traffic from isprime, and since isprime has a few freehost customers with questionable practices and isprime pushes most of their bandwidth through verio, does that mean that verio is a bad network? Also verio buy fiber from verizon, does that make verizon a bad company?

Companies have customers, customers do what they want.

Bottom line about hosting, if you want the highest level of service and free QUALITY tech support, go with isprime.

railz: I had this issue before with my isprime virtual. The reason why they do it is because webalizer has problems when you have what webalizer considers a large amount of traffic (not too much in actuallity) -- it starts core-dumping instead of making logs, so you end up with a week of data and the rest of the month doesnt work at all. Send support an email and ask them to try it for you, they made it daily across the board so that users always had logs that worked, but if you want more of a history, they can set it up for you that way -- personally i like it better with just one day of logs -- smaller download and the referrer stats is all last day not last 30, who cares about a monthly average of referrers.

My $0.02

I can not personally speak for their service but I have heard some bad things about them. I did not pay much attention to the crap I heard but when combined with the pushy sales rep. (Henry) I decided not to give them my business. They were however my first choice prior to Henry scarring me away. I have done a lot of sales in my day for some pretty big companies but I NEVER pushed anybody as hard for a sale as they pushed me. I am a very easy sale for most things, especially when I approach the company on my own as I did with ISPRIME.

The first time I communicated with Henry, I asked that we do business over the phone instead of ICQ. He declined my request then when we were messaging, ICQ locked up. Gee, maybe that is why I wanted to speak with him on the phone in the first place. I thought it was a simple request.

I decided on another host but if it does not work out, I will take another look at ISPRIME but I will contact a different salesman.

Let me know how they work out for you if you decide to go with them.

Aaron,

I didn't mean to be pushy, I just started working for ISPRIME this month. The reason I couldn't do a phone call at the time was simply because my phone was not set up. If I was too aggressive, I apologize, but don't base your decision on a pushy salesman :. No hard feelings I hope.

I've got a virtual account and I'm quite satisfied. About a week or two ago, I asked what the path to the sendmail program was, and I got 3 replies all in less than 24hrs. :)

If anyone feels like signing up, you could be nice and give me
a percent: http://www.isprime.com/?refid=britney :winkwink:

axxxis 01-28-2002 10:43 PM

My sales person (Anthony Baggio was not pushy at all) [email protected].
I contacted anthony maybe 2-3 times after I signed up just to bullshit with him, and maybe once or twice to upgrade my account from virtual to dedicated.

As far as I am concerned though, the support is much more important, I deal with them weekly (because they help me with writing my code, not because of problems). Support is what really matters.

Contact Anthony, I'm sure he can make it right for you.
