Anyone drink Johnnie Walker Blue Label?
|
Had some black last weekend. It was nice. I hear that the blue is better, but I have never had it, Not interested in wasting that kind of money on a drink.
|
fuck yeah, got a bottle of that 2 weeks ago and it's great!
Better than black for sure :) |
i prefer southern comfort with coke (coca-cola)
|
Yep I`ve tried that. My dad got a couple as a christmas gift. Excellent stuff.
He also had a couple of boxes of gold label. Damn I used to drink a lot of that stuff.I`m more of a vodka drinker now. |
nah, i've just got a bottle of black label in the liquor cabinet
|
Very good buzz killed my last bottle a couple of weeks ago. :thumbsup

Bought a bottle, not bad, but not worth the extra $
|
Jameson wisky is the best!!!!!!!!
|
My ex was just talking about that shit..he said it was way smoother then red or black..I thought black was like swallowing battery acid, myself, but that's me, I guess, lol.

I go as far as the Gold. I cannot justify the price of Blue for a blended Scotch. |
I'm not really a scotch drinker but i have 2 bottles on the blue label here ... I've had it but i keep it here mostly for my father in-law ... he loves it ... i also have a bottle of Louis XIII .... again I've had some but at like $200 a glass i feel it's a waste on me ... I'm not a cognac drinker. bottle cost like $2k ... but it is a nice looking bottle .... :thumbsup
I prefer a Dow Port Wine. I have a 30 yr old bottle that is great.... i can sit and have a entire bottle while hanging with the family playing poker .... it goes for about $150 a bottle ... but worth it .... if your looking for a cheaper bottle of port go for Cockburn's 20 Year Old Tawny .... it's really nice and only about $50 ... :thumbsup |
Just had some of the Louis XIII ... just because of this thread ... it was nice .. :thumbsup
|
Johnny Walker Blue is awesome for a blend. I have a few single malts I'd prefer but I rarely splurge that much on myself. I once saw a bottle, or should I say jug (not sure if it was a spoof or joke in the liquor store), of Johnny Walker White. Had a JW label and everything looked authentic and was 50 years old. If I remember correctly it was close to $700 for 750ml. The only reason I think it may have been real is that after you drove past the liquor store and crossed the intercoastal you were on Jupiter Island so there were plenty of potential buyers.

i have a couple of bottles of it in the liquer cubbord
|
Picked up a bottle at the duty free in Atlanta on my last trip out of the country and it was around $150 and loved every drop of it. Definitely worth the extra bucks and goes down nice and smooth.
|
Just got a big box of Cuban Cigars today from a new Biz partner that we will be announcing tomorrow (great gift) .... they go very nice with the Blue and the Louis XIII ... i will enjoy them by the pool tomorrow ...
she smuggled them in from Mexico ... :thumbsup that's my girl .. :thumbsup |
if you like scotch its supposed to be very good. To me scotch tastes like Gasoline lol
|
Right after hearing the news that Woods won the cup. ;)

You get half an ounce of Louis XIII for every signup, or something. |
From what I`m reading in this thread Johnny Walker is not a very popular brand in the U.S. People down here drink that shit like water. In most clubs you get white label, red label and if you like spending a bit extra black label.
Also popular here are Buchannans and Dewars. I read somewhere that Venezuela is one of the top whisky consuming countries in the world.... |
