Escalade or Yukon Denali
Figure with my 2002 Explorer almost at 50K it's time to trade it in. Would be nice to have something a bit bigger for a couple of years. I found a sweet Denali in the new blue/green crystal color (almost looks like Dupont paint), but I've thought about the white diamond Escalade too (my last two vehicle have been pearlescent white).
Any thoughts or experiences? |
Escalade... just don't put spinners on it please.
|
Denali, with the Escalade front end. Trick the interior and the rest to your likin...
|
i wouldnt buy escalade right now, new body comming out in about 5-6 month. you dont want to be stuck with an old one.

Another vote for the Denali - Escalades are over rated.

Why not buy a yacht, put it on wheels and then drive it on the highway.
:disgust fo shizzle :rasta |
Fuck the navi, sucks donkey balls
|
I'd go with the Yukon XL Denali. Sweet ride, my girl's parents have one and I love, I mean LOVE driving it. And I used to be prejudiced against SUVs, too... haha!!

Denali.....all the way
They stole my Denali :( |
I have the denali i had some issues with it at first some sort of bering joint in the front...after that was fixed its been solid...if i had to make a choice again i would get the range rover over both of them.
|
Escalade is one of the hottest cars for car thiefs so the insurance will be more. Go with the XL Denali.
|
White Escalade : more classy :pimp
White Denali : more tough!!!! :costumed- |

wait for the new model of the escalade. white diamond looks damn nice.
|
White Escalade. Then your children can sing along with Nelly:
Then I slide up in the Escalade Me and E gettin solid like the Ice Capades And me and Heezy - frosty, Roger the Rabbit and Bugsy You understand me, wrapped wrists like mummies If you compare me to your local grocery Then you'll see I got more karats than "Aisle D" More bread than "Aisle G", then bag and scan me |

Escalade or Chevrolet Niva.
|
If you're leasing, get one of GMs. If you're buying get something like a Lexus LX470. The Amercian models don't hold their value (as I'm sure you see with the Exploder - I also have a 2002 completely loaded EB 4X4 and I'd be lucky to get $15K for it now).
|
I would go with the land rover.
|
I have the Denali its the same car as the escalade but ya gotta pay 8K more to have the caddy symbol on it. I decided I did not care enough to cough up 8K so I could look good :) Go with the Denali You will be happy you did !

Offhand, dunno. Make sure to check ConsumerReports.org before you buy ANYTHING.
Personally, I am NOT a fan of SUVs. There are expensive to purchase (over priced), they are expensive to operate (poor gas mileage), and they are unsafe (high risk of rollover). SUVs are trucks, but your average SUV operator doesn't take the necessary care that trucks demand. For example, Dodge Durango (SUV) and Dodge Dakota (pickup) are built on the same frame. If you must get a 4WD vehicle, I'd look at Subaru, Mercedes 4-matic, and some of the other AWD cars. |

Range Rover :thumbsup

denali is twice the vehicle an escalade could ever hope to be. denali for sure.
|
Yukon Denali hands down, those are niice
not too big, not too small just riight ;} http://www.ernstauto.com/Ernst2005/2...n%20Denali.jpg |
This is an example of a truck with the caddy front end, same front end used for the denali's.
http://sporttruck.com/featuredvehicl..._fet4_08_z.jpg Save yourself the insurance, get something more custom and eye catching then either a stock escalade, or stock denali. Trick the interior to your liking... http://sporttruck.com/featuredvehicl..._fet4_10_z.jpg Now that's how you rolll.... |
I actually just got back into town tonight after picking up a nice new 2005 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer edition, it's loaded down EVERYTHING and it's beautiful. The only thing is that I wish there was just a little bit more space in the way back, but with it's power folding seats, it's easy to make more room.
**I had a picture, but edited out because of hotlink protection** |
Actually, here's the dealer page with the actual vehicle that I got :) It looks even better in person :)

The only thing buying big cars like that does is support middle eastern countries that support terrorism. Buy a hybrid.

Well I am now the owner of a blue/green crystal, 2005 GMC Yukon Denali with 20 inch chrome rims and the gold emblem package. The dealership had to wrestle it away from their own owner. There are very few in this color to be had right now. Insurance only went up $10 per month where if I'd gotten the Escalade it would have been $35 a month more.
Gonna take a bit to get used to.. it's 10 inches longer and 6 inches wider than the Explorer I'd been driving. |
Congrats on the new purchase PK :)
:GFYBand |
when i bought my avalance i choose it over the escalade version cause it had a slightly smaller moter and you could take it out of 4 wheel drive - not soo much to save gas but they both had the same size gas tank the and escalade wouldn't ever pass the gas station without a fill and that took too much time out of my life and the options were sooo similar and for $20K less i took the avalance.
now i got an fx45 and i love it, but it's worse on gas than the escalade :( http://www.hjorleifson.com/pelican/01.jpg |
Nice.. Congrats on the new car PK. :)
