Registering Domain
I've heard people comment on godaddy, saying not to register a domain there. Just curious as to what the reason(s) might be for that?
|
i register ALLLLL of my domains there, adult and non adult, and ive NEVER had an issue, so ive always wondered this myself. i even contacted them on their services regarding adult content and they said as long as its nothing illegal itll be all right. so thats my input... :pimp

I registered some there and they are cheap. Why not register there?
|
Dont know... I had read a post or two where people had said not to. I couldn't figure out what the difference would be. Maybe if they go out of business? Just trying to figure it out.

Use Namecheap.com. The word on the street is that if you use Godaddy.com anyone (including your competition) can email them saying you are spamming and they will remove your domain and take ownership. My bad experience with them was that I bought an expired domain that was very valuable through them. 2 days later, they said sorry technical error we're refunding you. And I lost it to someone who was NOT the original owner. Called them and they didn't give a shit about my reciept. Fuckers.

Namecheap do all the transferring for you. You tell them what to transfer and the registered owner of the domain name (you) will get an email with instructions to follow. It's really easy, takes about one working week, then you simply change the dns settings to point to your hosts name servers. |
thanks :thumbsup
