Just saw Charlie and the Chcocolate Factory...

Anyone else see it yet? I was sorta disappointed. :(

BitterPen 07-15-2005 05:57 PM

yeah just got back from the 2:30 show... it was definitely a Tim Burton film... Very disappointed. It had some entertainment quality to it... but not worth much. :twocents

Actually, I thought it would be "weirder". I have to say I wasn't too fond on Depp's performance. :( And he's one of my favorite actors.

johnny depp looks like michael jackson with the make-up they did on him in that movie

They are my fav's too but I'm still disappointed. :( It's probably the fact that I like them so much.

Is it the singing dancing movie like the first one?

EviLGuY 07-15-2005 10:44 PM

I am never seeing that movie.. the original was just perfect. All the can accomplish is fucking it up.

Nope. The only singing that is similar to Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory is when the Oompa Loompas sing after each kid gets into trouble. It's actually funny (bigger production singing/dancing than the original).

The thing is that this movie really has nothign to do with the 1st movie (Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory).

Burton wanted to do it more along the lines of the book.

Extreme Robyn 07-19-2005 09:17 AM

I saw it.. and i thought it was funny.. i liked it :thumbsup

It's not that it is horrible. I just expected it to be alot better being a big fan of Depp and Burton.
