Normally notepad.
If I get a php file that has been changed by programs or webservers that resulted in breaks and tabs having been gone in notepad, I use Visual Interdev.

AcidMax 07-16-2005 06:08 AM

Zend IDE

Depends. Notepad, or Dreamweaver mostly.

Serge Litehead 07-16-2005 07:35 AM

ZDE strictly for PHP, homesite for everything else

Theodor S. Geisel 07-16-2005 10:24 AM

CuteHTML for quick edits and Dreamweaver MX 2004 for projects.

But then again, what does it really matter? Any tool is the fucking bomb or total ass depending on your ability to use the tool. I'm sure there's quite a few people who could run circles around me using VI.

azguy 07-16-2005 10:29 AM

Homesite is the best.. I'd use notepad but I like the color scheme I have

SGS 07-16-2005 10:30 AM

Dreamweaver.

fuzebox 07-16-2005 10:53 AM

I could never get used to anything other than Vim. I even use it to compose email.

jwerd 07-16-2005 11:27 AM

Notepad++ rocks for everything... I use it for writing PHP, but I think I'm going to check out what woj put up... it looks pretty interesting.

Mr. Mike 07-16-2005 11:31 AM

AnyEdit or Pico

nibbi 07-16-2005 11:46 AM

I've been using Textpad for a couple years now... been very happy with it.

Martina Warren 07-16-2005 11:59 AM

Yeah, this one is quite good. However, VIM is my choice as you can run the program right away after pressing :w and refresh on the browser. Nice and quick.

oli4 07-16-2005 02:29 PM

zend ide too

Another Crimson Editor user here... it's just to versitile to use anything else.

grannytgp 07-16-2005 03:00 PM

Zend studio is as good as it gets for PHP editing, although it's written in Java which some don't like:
http://www.zend.com/store/products/z...udio/index.php

And like others have mentioned in this thread, Dreamweaver is actually pretty good also. Pretty good color coding with PHP.

cambaby 07-16-2005 03:08 PM
