But I prefer Dreamweaver. I like all in one tools. :thumbsup

editplus for php, Visual Studio 2005 for general HTML shit

ultraedit for quick projects, zend for complex projects

Normally notepad.
If I get a php file that has been changed by programs or webservers that resulted in breaks and tabs having been gone in notepad, I use Visual Interdev.

Depends. Notepad, or Dreamweaver mostly.

ZDE strictly for PHP, homesite for everything else

CuteHTML for quick edits and Dreamweaver MX 2004 for projects.

But then again, what does it really matter? Any tool is the fucking bomb or total ass depending on your ability to use the tool. I'm sure there's quite a few people who could run circles around me using VI.

Homesite is the best.. I'd use notepad but I like the color scheme I have

I could never get used to anything other than Vim. I even use it to compose email.

Notepad++ rocks for everything... I use it for writing PHP, but I think I'm going to check out what woj put up... it looks pretty interesting.

I've been using Textpad for a couple years now... been very happy with it.

Used to prefer phpexpert editor...but when the trial expired, I started re-using Dreamweaver...and figured I liked it better anyway hehe...

Yeah, this one is quite good. However, VIM is my choice as you can run the program right away after pressing :w and refresh on the browser. Nice and quick.

zend ide too

Another Crimson Editor user here... it's just to versitile to use anything else.

Zend studio is as good as it gets for PHP editing, although it's written in Java which some don't like:

And like others have mentioned in this thread, Dreamweaver is actually pretty good also. Pretty good color coding with PHP.
