UltraEdit is pretty nifty. The new version is pretty awsome compared to most.

ZDE strictly for PHP, homesite for everything else
CuteHTML for quick edits and Dreamweaver MX 2004 for projects.
But then again, what does it really matter? Any tool is the fucking bomb or total ass depending on your ability to use the tool. I'm sure there's quite a few people who could run circles around me using VI. |
Homesite is the best.. I'd use notepad but I like the color scheme I have
Dreamweaver.
I could never get used to anything other than Vim. I even use it to compose email.
Notepad++ rocks for everything... I use it for writing PHP, but I think I'm going to check out what woj put up... it looks pretty interesting.
AnyEdit or Pico
I've been using Textpad for a couple years now... been very happy with it.
Notepad always
nedit here
Used to prefer phpexpert editor...but when the trial expired, I started re-using Dreamweaver...and figured I liked it better anyway hehe...

Zend studio is as good as it gets for PHP editing, although it's written in Java which some don't like:
http://www.zend.com/store/products/z...udio/index.php And like others have mentioned in this thread, Dreamweaver is actually pretty good also. Pretty good color coding with PHP. |
