Dam, $500,000 for a 1083 square foot apartment.
http://www.adrhi.com/2504177 Must be nice for the real estate agent that gets a 5% fee on a $26 million dollar house. http://www.adrhi.com/2509394 |
heh and I'm trying to decide to if 230k is too much for a house almost 3x bigger.

Nope things where I live are pretty cheap. I know of a nice size house in Ensenada that is for sale. Cool 3.9 mil. Has like 6 bedrooms and 7 baths, and every room in the house has a view of the ocean. Great Joint. I think that it belongs to Willie Nelson. Interested?

I used to go bike riding through Hillsborough just to see homes like that. Big homes like that impressed me even as a kid. |

shit ain't expensive here, I have a 2000 sq ft house with huge front and back yards, 2 car garage, 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath...and it backs up to the woods, which I own a great deal of the land there too....for $163k
|
pretty much the same as prices where i am... a house with an ocean view and several bedrooms is well over $2million - often over $5million. one bedroom condos in my mom's complex are going for $300,000 and over - and they aren't big. one bedrooms by me are going for up to $800,000.

Damn sweet homes..it's only money :winkwink:

The housing market is nuts here. 5% per month. I think it's going to hold up. They're not making any more land and with all of the creative financing and low rates there are all sorts of great deals.

National Association of Realtors , sales of previously owned homes drop 2.6 percent
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://biz.yahoo.com/ap/050823/wall_street.html?.v=15 The latest snapshot of housing activity suggested that the sizzling housing market may be cooling slightly. Wall Street has been closely watching home sales, worried that the housing boom is nearing its end. Condos saw the worst hit and also price declines. Get ready folks I called the top, we are starting to see the cracks now. I am calling for a recession in the US in the next 6-12 months. |
cheaper than Barcelona (I'm sad to say :( )

Had a buddy who lived there, couldnt make it, had to take up a shit job, but said it was easy becasue its always a party. |
Interesting that you bring this back up. I was out walking one of the dogs last night and the thought crossed my mind that it might be going a bit flat. The house on the corner of my street has been flipped twice since I moved in here -- roughly 19 months -- for successively more money each time. The current owner bought it, remodeled it, and put it up for sale at 1.3 -- which would make it the first house on our street to go for more than a million as a remodel instead of a complete teardown.
It's been sitting for sale now for several months. Personally I think the owner fucked up, the house never had any problem selling before they did the apparently crappy job of remodeling it... and other houses on the street are still flying off the shelves so to speak in the 850+ range... |
