Archived galleries on TGP2, wrong move!
 

If the purpose of TGP2 is to show less free content, why is it that many of them have archived galleries listed?

hehe I thought about the same a while ago...
doesnt really make sense does it?

well, perhaps some tgp2 guys tell me, Im really not into it

trying to increase bookmarks,but its not the right way to go
i dont have an archive,neither i'm going to put any
i stopped the archives on movieposts also

Where are the TGP2 Powers at be?

There have been a lot of discussions on this topic on the other b0ard, some like it, others don't.

SoulRebel said it right, we also wanna get some traffic going, and this is a way to increase traffic too. We have had both, archives and no archives. So far I cannot say it really makes a difference traffic wise. From my stats however, I can see that about 10% like the archives, but when they get there there are other trade/skimming ratio's, so the chance of actually getting a gallery is small(er);)

Yeah, I think it's cool if they raise the skimming ratio, that way it's more of a traffic thing than a free content thing. Good point, though, I never even thought about it.

I know that on normal TGPs, the traffic to archived galleries is minimal...not really worth worrying about, so it's probably barely existent on TGP2. Archives are good when it comes to getting multiple copies of your recip galleries indexed by the search engines though.

Two things I use the archives for on my TGP2 sites

1) The skim is set waaaaaaaaay fucking high...you're lucky if you ever see a gallery

2) SE spiders ;)
