ok, i'm going to pay yahoo 600$ but...

i read in there that it's take a week for them to reply but for adult site it's take more than a week bcz it's some other kind of procedure.

how much it took you before they replied to your submition ?

if dmoz added my site without any prob, i can be sure that yahoo will ?

DMOZ is a total different story than Yahoo is and just because DMOZ accepted your site there is no guarantee that Yahoo will.

What kind of site do you want to submit there anyway?

Trax 01-27-2002 08:42 AM

if its a paysite or avs you dont have to worry

buster 01-27-2002 09:45 AM

i submitted a pay site about 4 months ago to them and the day they went to look at my sites server was fucking up and they rejected me becuase they could not get the site to come up in an hours period.. well after that i got a dedicated server with candid and appealed there disicion and it took 4 weeks from that point 6 weeks total till i was up and when i got up i got a bullshit discription.
just a bad example of how it can go

I heard that after you paid $600 to get listed and you made it, you have to pay them annual fee to verify that you still alive. I don't remember how much but it isn't much expensive as the first time.

when you pay the 600 you get review and if your site is not up to there standards they will decline it and if you appeal and dont succeed your never allowed to submitt that url again..
thats they way it was in october and i dont know if they switch it or not :

Theo 01-27-2002 06:55 PM

i think it is still the same + the stupid annual fee

I just wonder if a listing in yahoo is worth 600.00/year

I've never been listed there so I dont know

I spend my time trying to get good position in google

Fro 01-27-2002 08:07 PM

If you have any doubts, I'd stay away. $600 per year might be steep, eh?

How much success have you found with Google? I'd focus on that.
