They wanna substitute the word terrorist (which implies what they are - animals who kills innocents to drive an ideological agenda) with suicide (which they intend to convince us that they aren't bad people just persecuted to the point of hopelessness - we drove them to do this and therefore we deserve it). Fox's use of the term "homicide bomber" is stupid. They say they say that as not to "honor" the terrorist. WTF that means.

Logic would say that ANY bomber that intends on killing others is a HOMICIDE bomber. DUH! How does one differentiate between "suicide bomber" and bomber like Timothy McVeigh, Eric Rudolph or the Unibomber if you don't use the word SUICIDE? I guess in the world of Fox News McVeigh, Rudolph and the Unibomber weren't "homicide" bombers. :helpme :error Hell they don't even call these guys terrorists even though they are/were. Fox News took it's cue for using the term from the Bush administration. I remember seeing the president attempt to explain the rationale for the term. After the initial flack, Fox News was the main ones using it and the president went back to using "terrorists".

Terrorist is a blanket word used against anyone these days. Giving them a more defined name makes the public better informed. Calling all terrorist groups 'al qeada' is also really really misleading. A terrorist is anyone from a hacker to those eco jackasses that torch hummer sales lots to the ira to various whacky religous groups to islamic fundamentalists. The term is too vague imo.

Homicide Bomber(still used by Fox News) is laughable and goes more to show other things about Faux News than anything else.

News, especially American news, is NOT supposed to pass judgements on their stories through inflection, word choice, or anything else. Impartiality would be ideal. "Just the facts Ma'am."
