Well whatever it is, he's been added to my list of people never to do any business with. Could never trust someone that acts like this.

I don't know any of the parties involved, but a few observations:

Lenny2 - Don't like to see anyone fucked over. Just be thankful it wasn't a huge amount like that claimed by GenX. And you're right, you do not need software to be compliant, but the right software makes it much MUCH easier

Newbreed - Sounds like your software is good stuff, but you appear in these last few threads as someone scared of the idea of another company selling / possibly selling / not selling a similar product to yours. I understand you have a vest interest in the product. God know I run to every thread that mentions creampies or asians or what have you. And I almost didn't post this cause wanted to turn your responses into part of a drinking game, taking a shot everytime you typed "NON COMPLIANT" in all caps.

I bought a script, within a month of the PROPOSED regs coming out. As far as ANYONE could tell, that script was compliant with the PROPOSED regulations.
It was also the only software solution available at that time.
We had alot of work to do and there was no way we could wait for the final regs to be published, so we started working toward being compliant with the PROPOSED regs.

The final regs were published, and we knew some changes had to be made to the software. We hired the programmers who wrote the software to make some custom changes for us.
In the meantime the programmers sold the exclusive rights to this program to Gen X law, therefore, Gen X law now owns the program and if they sell it, it is in no way, shape, or form, pirated.

I got ripped off by the programmers because they disappeared with my money and never made the changes to the software that I paid for. If you think that somehow reflects poorly on ME, then you're more delusional than I thought you were.

However I'd like to thank you for pointing out that neither I, nor my attornies know anything, and that we should have just listened to you the whole time. :1orglaugh

As a person that was "inside" this whole fiasco for awhile, I can say this.
Last Fall the rights to the software was sold . Period. I believe the amount was 5k. Im not sure, but around that area it might have been more.
GenX Had/has full right to the software ( to my knowledge ) and IF the software was sold again by the owner of mxdevelopment after that date, if you were a buyer you got fucked. Lenny I have spoke to you via Icq in April for a small script you wanted done, I have ZERO knowledge of you buying the 2257 software but if you did, you were screwed. The owner at mx KNEW he has zero rights to resell the software as the rights had previously been sold.
I have No knowledge as to what happened with the 2257 software after last fall as it had been sold and as far as anyone else ( except the owner ) knew it was done. If Anyone has bought from chris since then you got fucked.
If you have been in contact with chris ( or any of his aliases ) you have probably been fed a line of shit and will more than likely not get your money or software. In the end he fucked everyone, even those that stood by him until the shit became too deep to walk in .

To my knowledge the software and full rights was sold last fall to GenX I believe. I no longer have the email but I do know that NOONE had the right to sell that script after it was sold this included the owner of mx. ( which apparently he did) . Secondly, as far as I knew mx was to "finish" the script for them previous to the proposed regs. I have no idea what happened after they paid for the rights as it was " a closed deal ".
SO, GenX had full rights to what the fuck they wanted with the software after they purchased it. Although I believe they were waiting for the product to be modified and improved.
