Odds are considerably more than my cheap pair of polarized sunglasses from OSH.

I bought a pair of polarized Eye Jackets and I hated them. I would get weird optical illusions with them. I took them back and got another model.

It's probably supposed to be like that. The glare from sunlight should be much reduced, but you may see a weird spotting pattern. If you move your head from one side to another, you should see the pattern shifting. It's just the way the polarizing effect works and how your eyes perceive it. For the amount you paid, they better not be defective. :winkwink:

I want a pair of Chanel sunglasses... it sounds tacky but I want the ones with the C's on the side, preferably in Swarovski crystals or faux diamonds...

I have had Oakleys for years. And they are the best. I had one of the arms break, sent them back to the factory, and they sent me back a new frame. Same lenses. got new lenses for 25$ at the oakley store. Now they are a new set.

thats exactly it, i would rather get a nice pair right now, instead of buying 10 pairs of shitty ones over the years

thats exactly it, its like a spotting pattern.. the thing was, the sun was shining directly into the driver's window so im assuming this is normal, it got rid of most of the glare but some was still left

ok here is the deal from someone that has done sunglasses as a job:

When you put a pair of polerized sunglasses on and you look at tinted windows on cars or say a l.e.d screen you will see colors you dont normaly see.

Polerized brings out the mixture of colors and layers that tinted windows have..so normaly you see black but with the glasses on you will see a rainbow effect simular to oil on a puddle of water.

Its normal, there is nothing wrong with your glasses. Get used to it, or take them back.

PS, the advantages of the polerized way out the negatives.

ps i love sunglasses..

I have salvador ferrigamo, maui jim, revo(x2) and a bunch of anne kleins, and im going to get a new pair but i cant decide on prada or versace.

BitterPen 07-14-2005 10:31 PM

My hubby bought a pair of Revo's that were 300. They are awesome. They're polarized and some other shit... I thought 300 was a little high for a pair of sunglasses, but they are kick ass, so whatever. lol

MissMiranda 07-14-2005 10:34 PM

hum yeah sunglasses are the only type of accessory/jewlery i like.

gopsycho 07-14-2005 10:51 PM

Oakley's may be good quality...and i do think they are the best glasses for biking, running, and probably most other sports, but for casual wear i hate them. there are so many better/nicer looking sunglasses out there.

hottoddy 07-14-2005 10:54 PM

I think I know what you are talking about and it's not glare. Whenever I wear polarized lenses, I can see weird shapes and patterns in tinted glass and other polarized material. It happens mostly with cars. Typically I can see small circle patterns in the tinted windows.

did you read my post about what it was? its the layers of tinted color your seeing.. :thumbsup

I have worn plorized prescription sunglasses for a long time.

Sometimes here in the US you can see weird spots in the rear windows of some cars. Like the heat tempering or something. Some cars are worse.

When I was travelling down in Central America I sometimes noticed the same thing in the front windshields of some vehicles!

LCDs are almost impossible to read. Like a lcd watch.

Other than that I can't live without them as much as I like to fish.
