I'm very pleased to announce the launch of the NOOB Showcase

It was my goal when I made that first post on June 24th, to not only educate, include, and give visibility to the many unseen, un-embraced, "impoverished" NOOBS who exist in fustration on the perimeter of our Great Biz. But I also wanted to put some money into their wallets. The NOOB Showcase will do that.

Once per week, there will be a competition among the NOOBS in a different category of achievement.

The first of these will identify and reward an exceptional TGP gallery design.

AVN's own Jeff Random, who won a top-spot on Sleazydream.com in San Diego last month, has very kindly donated that spot to the impoverishedNOOBs organization. The NOOB whose gallery design is chosen will get to promote ONE sponsor with that gallery and keep the earnings that result.

To help us identify the best program to use for this karmically-unimpeachable promotion, I'd like to have any interested sponsors spam this thread and call our attention to your prorgram, any special payouts you are offering (or would like to offer here), as well as content you are prepared to make available for the contestant gallery-makers to use.

The sponsor selected will enjoy the visibility of a subsequent "NOOB Sponsor Chosen" announcement and press release, as well as exposure on the NOOB Network of sites. They will also place a judge on the panel of judges who select the best design.

NOTE: the performance of the campaign will be fully disclosed, thus providing a "proof of pudding" for the selected sponsor and a service to the affiliate community.

As ignorant as they are to the actual workings of this biz I'd rather work with a noob anyday. Most webmasters here started out with big plans and a good work ethic. Then the adult community chewed them up and spit their remains onto GFY and other similar boards. When a guy making $2000 a month working 16 hours a day dispenses "advice" to anyone that asks this is bound to happen. Then there are those that preach all of the old worn out methods to making money in this biz, thus severely limiting income potential for anyone that listens.

Are they using a specific niche or anything to market? If so, and it includes the teen niche, please let us know. We would be willing to offer some goodies if this is the case.

For that matter, any of them needing 2257 Records Management Software, I will make a special deal to them as well so as to keep that burden to a minimum as they get more experience in the biz.

If anyone's still not convinced that this sponsor is seriously here to rock our universe the above post should be the clincher.

Sure this is a Random act of kindness, but there's a catch (you knew that was coming didn't you?)

What's the catch? I get the data & publishing rights. The entire process is documented every step of the way. Discussions, gallery submissions, sponsor submissions, traffic stats, sales stats, screen shots - the whole shebang.

Of course I?m not planning on keeping this to myself. I am using the info for a sort of TGP case study. You can follow the progress along the way here.

I think it will be at least mildy entertaining, and probably produce some useful information.

I'd like to thank all the programs that have made offers so far
(anybody who offered want to withdraw now? No of course not!), and all of the people posting support for the Noobs. We could use a lot more offers, and I know some of the big programs haven't responded here. So if you know a program that does well with TGP traffic, send them this thread!

It actually took me more than a year Sagi. :)

This is my second nic, as I lost the first in a horrible computer incident. (I will never look at a penguin the same way again) If the join date reflected my old account (random) I think it would be closer to 3 years.

The truth is I barely have time to try to keep up with the boards, let alone post. You won't see me posting all that often (famous last words) unless I feel that I really have something to contribute.

Hmmm nice idea....
