AVN Talent Badge? Yes or No?
Do you think that AVN should make a "Talent" badge for girls that are attending the shows with people who are already paying attendees? If they were to show their dredentials of who they are working with, and identify themselves as "Talent Only"
It has been a hot topic as of recently that you MUST have a pass to be inside the hotel for Internext, FL .. Many people like to bring girls in during the day to hang out by the pool or to goto lunches or dinners with. Do you think that it is fair to charge "Talent" $300 when they are not there to network and do things like seminars or walk the show floor and promote themselves? People pay $300 for themselves to go into the show because that is a cost of doing business, but to have to pay a model, plus pay for her passes, do you think that is right?? I sort of think that AVN is missing the bus on this one personally.. The FL show will be a sausage fest if girls are not allowed to walk around the hotel freely.. That is one thing in my opinion that makes it nice when you are not dealing with business is to see hot ass girls doing their thing and looking HOT.. |
i vote for "yes" - should've made a poll
|
Yes, definatly!
|
Just wondering if you think AVN cares about a poll on GFY.
|
avn doesn't care about anything except the cash coming out of your pocket and into theirs

Definitly. I've been thinking the same thing for years.

Sorry, I won't be there. But it doesn't answer my question. No need to get defensive. |

Anyways, I don't know if it will help or not.. It does not hurt to try.. If enough people in one forum vote for something then there's obviously a unilateral concensus that something should be a certain way.. So if they want to have things better then they will listen to their customers who pay the bills... When we threw The Jungle Bash we threw it to cater to our sponsors and to our webmasters that attended, Not to make a profit on the party... We listened to what people did not like about other parties, took note, and did what we could to make it a hit. |

Personally, I don't think a poll on GFY or any/all other board will make much difference. I think the turnout will be the determining factor. If people go, and pay $300/model they have no reason to change. If people don't go, or don't bring models I think it will have more of an impact. We used to call it a boycott when I was a young rebel. Was pretty effective. |

In my opinion, AVN should have done the following: Make their money off the exhibitors/sponsors and charge very low or free admission to the attendees. That's a lot more logical to me. |
Okay, my two cents canadian:
They SHOULD have them, but they CAN'T have them... quite simply, the "booth talent" usually spends the whole weekend, attends the parties, hangs out in the bars, etc. Except for whatever their work relationship is, these girls are paid to be there - and often paid well. $100 per day for a badge for a booth bunny isn't exactly going to break anyone. Think about this: $2600 per 8X10 square on the floor. If you run a 20 X 8 booth (two squares) you are spedning 5200 right there. Ship your booth, set it up, tear it down, bring stuff to give out, promo material, get your people to the show, get them on the floor, pay for them to eat for 4 days, yadda yadda... It would not be out of line for a company to drop 20k-40k to do this. $600 in badges for the two booth bunnies is the last thing on the list, trust me. |
They'll change it later and then make a big deal out of how they intended to offer this option this whole time...lol

I booked this already ... but can tell ya that if this stays like this it will most likely be the last one i go to ... i can do all the networking i want at the smaller shows and Vegas ... this show is going to suck ... :(
the only real reason i have to go down now is in hopes to meet pimpdog ... :/ |
