Pupil suspended for porn DVD sale

Parents say the school has acted quickly over the DVDs
A pupil has been suspended for selling pornographic DVDs in the playground for £5 each at a secondary school.
Police were called to St John Lloyd Catholic Comprehensive School in Llanelli after parents complained.

The boy of 11 has been given a fixed term suspension but some parents at the 450-pupil school want him expelled.

Dyfed-Powys Police said officers were happy there was 'no external influence' and had left the matter to be dealt with by the school and its governors.

In a statement head teacher Paul White said: "An inappropriate DVD was brought to school by a year seven (aged 11) pupil."



"The DVD was confiscated by a member of staff and was handed over to the police.

"The parents were informed and the pupil has been given a fixed term exclusion in accordance with policy."

One parent, who did not wish to be named, told the BBC news website: "My child came home and told me they (the DVDs) were being sold in the yard for £5.

"It was disturbing and I did have concerns but the school has acted very quickly.

"You cannot expect them to keep an eye on them all the time during breaks.

"You can't blame the school and teachers for this sort of thing."

But another parent told the South Wales Evening Post they wanted the boy responsible to be expelled.

"We have to worry about drug pushing and so much these days but to think our kids are now being offered graphic porn is frightening.

"I was outraged this could be happening in the school."

God damn, wish I was lucky enough to have a porn DVD when I was 11, the most I could muster back then was the sears catalog and certain scenes in r-rated movies that I mentally bookmarked.

When I was in second grade in Texas a kid got kicked out of school for bringing a Hustler to class. That Hustler is probably worth alot of money now because this was in the late 1970s.
