there's been a lot of talk that ratification by the NHLPA is far from 100% guaranteed.....and with the way this whole thing has played out it would not suprise me one bit if it didn't get ratified

Now let see what players will Montreal will get.... ALOT of free agents... should be really interesting!

yep, and every other sport. I do watch hockey but not till playoff time. the rest of the time it is just too boring for me.

lol they could not have been that stupid when they turned down deals in December that were much better then what they got now AND they lost 1 full year of salaries......

finally.

What troubles me is that this is only a 6 year deal.

They thought the owners would cave. They know better now.

It's like that in all sports. Unions and owners never make deals much longer than 6 years.

I'm really curious as to what rule changes will be adpated....we gotta get this league to how it was in the 80's and early 90's.......The Rangers/Canucks final in 1994 was the last time hockey was highly entertaining. After that the defensive bs we see now took over.

The last 2 NHL CBAs were 10 years long.

Well. I think the NBA agreement was 6 years also.. seems the standard... At least we will have peace of mind for another 6 years.. lol

The last one wasn't. They just kept extending the deal. The new NBA deal is for 7 years.
