A question for the ladies

I have to come up with a way to get a last minute appointment at a beauty salon. So, I need something that would not take too much time.

What would a woman ask for that would be quick? A wash and . . . ?

sweetums 07-13-2005 08:55 AM

A wash & cut, dear....you can tell them you don't need a blowdry though...hahahaha :)

Well, it is in Beverly Hills

GlydeGirl 07-13-2005 09:58 AM

you can also skip the wash and just go for a cut... she'll wet your hair and cut it - also the cheapest option

sherie 07-13-2005 10:36 AM

Cut and dry! :)

Babagirls 07-13-2005 11:27 AM

I am not getting any work done. I have to serve a lawsuit on someone and wanted to set up an appointment for today. Wanted to make sure they are there when I get there, so did not want to say it was for something that would take hours and have them delay the service until tomorrow or later.

Ouch baddog, I hope it goes well! I just go in and ask for a trim but no wash when I'm in a hurry, and they can usually squeeze me in between appointments, it's so fast.

Went smooth as silk

Professional process service - three months = no service

me - first try = success

Highly unusual for the person filing the litigation to perform service. Anyone can see the potential conflict. I'm not an attorney. Not sure you could get away with that here. Any process service has to be approved by the court. Usually the sheriffs department handles the task.

There are other methods too. By publication, certified mail (not sure on that and only in special instance I suspect), special process server.... If you hired a service and they didn't get the job done, they aren't worth much IMO!

If the oposition has representation, they may argue improper service.... In such a case, you may be ordered to read each and every Juicy post in a day or something equally as troublesome.

In any case good luck.

Unusual and improper. Who said I was involved?

Elli 07-13-2005 05:11 PM

I'm glad it went well, baddog :)

Assumption. You could petition the court here to be a server for a prticular pleading. I'm not an attorney. Not good at assumptions either and have spent way to much time in dealing with that kind of stuff.

If it was for a friend, must be someone special. Or do you do this for pay?

Yeah, she is a very good friend (ex-g/f) . . . I am not sure if her attorney is planning on paying me or not, did not even cross my mind, although on the Proof of Service there is a place to put down the fee.

I called the attorney and left a message asking how much he wants me to put there.

I used to do this stuff all the time . . . however I stopped 10 years ago when I ended up in jail as a result . . . long story.
