2257ware.com introduces SCAT for MAVIS (quickly get your 2257 records in order!)
July 12th, 2005
2257ware.com Dayton, Ohio 2257ware.com is excited to release the SCAT module for 2257MAVIS. SCAT, Server Cataloging and Analysis Tool was designed to bring small, medium, and large sites and sponsor programs into compliance with the new 2257 regulations very quickly and accurately. Whats is SCAT? SCAT is a web-server spider script that runs on your server and outputs a list of all of your published content. The output files SCAT creates can then be imported into 2257MAVIS and linked directly to your models within a few minutes. What does this mean for a website owner? It means you can have all of your content indexed, imported, and assigned to the relevant model(s) in a matter of hours. No more manual entry of data url by url or production by production. All of your 2257 records can be finished and searchable literally within a few hours. How much is SCAT? SCAT is currently priced at $350.00 per server (a one-time fee until August 8th, 2005, temporarily reduced from $599.00, and GFY exclusive) and this includes a copy of 2257MAVIS for viewing, modifying, and/or printing your records. Basically, within a matter of hours, we can scan you server, import records into MAVIS, and provide you with a turn-key ready to go 2257 compliant records solution. What can you do NOW to get started? You can get started entering your models into MAVIS so when the SCAT module is done running you can immediately import your data and assign the content and url's to your models. For more information, please visit www.2257ware.com (I will have some screenshots and more information on the site later today) or e-mail admin|@|2257ware|.|com. |

Some screenshots real quick...
Enter you basic site/server info, producer info, and some production and publication date info to set some defaults. http://www.2257ware.com/images/screenshots/scat1.jpg Edit any of the folder information you need to now, including dates, producers, set names, and url's. http://www.2257ware.com/images/screenshots/scat2.jpg Assign any models you have entered to any of the productions you have published. http://www.2257ware.com/images/screenshots/scat3.jpg Import the file list. http://www.2257ware.com/images/screenshots/scat4.jpg Make any last changes needed to your import files. http://www.2257ware.com/images/screenshots/scat5.jpg Now, the next two and final screens show some proprietary info I am not ready to post here, but basically the next screen(s) lines it all up and you are free to go into the other browse windows and search or report any of your records. |
wow thats slammin
heres a bump for ya! |
good stuff, looks like one of the best 2257 related software I've seen :thumbsup
|
Now I know that all you GFYers can appreciate the creativity of someone who is not only a good programmer, but also good with coming up with context-specific acronyms.
MAVIS - Model Age Verification Information System and SCAT - Server Cataloging Analysis Tool. When I created these acronymns they were specifically designed with the Adult industry in mind and were intended to roll off the tongue without any 'aftertaste'. |
How much is it? It looks like a great program
|
Love the "scat" name

MAVIS is $50.00, but requires you to enter all your records manually. |

Thanks Mike, we're doing all we can to make it as painless and reasonably priced so anyone and eveyone has a chance to get up to speed by the next court date (if they are not/have not already). I have to give credit to Ben, the programmer, for adding all these other nice little features in. What started as a very simply designed database program turned into a very powerful and professional piece of software. Also we have a great Beta group who have given us some great feedback and usability reports, so thanks to all of them as well! :thumbsup |
Looks nice!
I have something to show Ben... "program related" ICQ#203-920-237 |

Basically the steps to complete the process go like this: 1. Add your model information (including scanning the photo id or the affidavit as necessary) When you add a model to the system, several of the AKA records are created automatically based upon the models' legal name (and maiden name if it's not the same as her last name) 2. run the Server Cataloging Analysis Tool on your web server to generate the list of directories and files. Bill will help you with this because the SCAT script will need to be modified slightly for each server so you don't catalog folders that do not have content or exclude file types that are not applicable. 3. Run the Web Spider Import within MAVIS. Unless you purchase the SCAT module, the Web Spider Import option is not available. To run the import process (see the screen shots above) you enter the domain name you wish to catalog, and the location of the SCAT script. Next, you FTP the files created by the script down to your local machine for the next step. 4. You provide the default name of the producer company to be applied to all of the folder entries and a default production creation date and published date. Then you import the directory list file that was created by the SCAT script. 5. Once the directory list is imported, you have the option to enter the default set name for each directory to use. This set name will be applied later to each file in the directory. You can also make any changes necessary to production dates, publish dates, producers and domains. 6. Next, you make the Model to Set assignments. This process is DIRT EASY! All you have to do to assign the model is select the model in the left hand list and click on the appropriate checkbox in the right hand list. Once checked, an assignment record is created that will be assigned to all files in the directory for that model. This way you don't have to assign each production individually. 7. Next you import the file listing that was created by SCAT and all of the settings that you selected in steps 4 through 6 are automatically applied to each of the file entries for the set. You then have the opportunity to 'fine tune' the settings for each file. 8. Once you've applied the appropriate changes to the file listing, you can then make the necessary changes to the model assignments. Since all of the model assignments are already created, all you have to concentrate on is deleting the model assignments that are not appropriate. Deleting the assignment is easy. Highlight the record you want to delete and clck on the delete button. 9. Once you click on the next button, you will see the list of 'candidate' productions that will be imported into the MAVIS database and you will have one last opportunity to make any changes. Then you click the "Go" button and your 2257 compliant database is automatically created with all of the productions, history URLs and Model Assignments. Yes, it's really that easy. |
