external drive says corrupted
 

my 74 gig external firewire drive all of a sudden says it's corrupted an unreadable. I have tried a few trial recovery programs and the data is still all there.

But what's the best program, and the best price? The prices are real wid eranging.

Anybody have any opinions, experiences, ?

BTW I am running XP Pro
