No. Not being a surfer.

Janet Reno 07-12-2005 04:54 PM

depends what you do... most people consider different aspects if this industry as their career. ie: programming, marketing, photography, etc.

what do you do?

a little bit of everything.. well except for programming... Although i can whip up a mean page of html in notepad with my eyes shut...

LOL

And yourself?

s9ann0 07-12-2005 04:58 PM

yes in the same way I guess you consider working in burger king a career!

llporter 07-12-2005 04:58 PM

Nope - not a career here. Hopefully just a nice way to pay the rent without having to leave the house.

Janet Reno 07-12-2005 04:58 PM

mainly programming, video editing, and marketing although I would consider programming my 'career' since I gave up anal fisting

Furious_Male 07-12-2005 05:00 PM

Internet Marketing yes. Mainstream or Adult.

StuartD 07-12-2005 05:02 PM

Nope, can't say that I do... I've done a great many things and therefore find it difficult to consider any one of them a career. Especially considering I never know when I'll up and be gone onto another endeavour.

Fuel 07-12-2005 05:04 PM

this industry is a fucking joke. 'Career'? LOL

are you fucking kidding? Get a life.

Interesting point of view... That is sorta what I think of when I think of "this shit"...

Only thing is money varies from "endeavor to endeavour"... you could say...

mardigras 07-12-2005 05:26 PM

Nah, not a career (yet, anyway:upsidedow), just an incorporation into my overall.

shermo 07-12-2005 05:27 PM

Career... It depends on how long I can keep this money train rolling. It's not my only talent, and I do have backup plans if ever needed.

fris 07-12-2005 05:28 PM

of course, there are many things i do that arent adult.

but of course.

Barefootsies 07-12-2005 05:30 PM

I would now. But I think it really kinda depends on what you do in the industry.

I mean if you are just some reseller, affiliate, or something your fry guy would not be the same as say, someone who designs websites, does SEO, photography, video editing, and so forth.

So I'd say it really depends on what you do in the biz before you can call it a career.

wjxxx 07-12-2005 05:30 PM

freedom, no stress, no retarded boss and bigger money than from "real job". It`s not career it`s a happy life

Cman 07-12-2005 05:31 PM

I consider it to be what I'm doing while I wait for my real career to begin. The computer industry is pretty slow right now and its hard to find alternate work (with the relatively low amount of experience I have), so this will continue to pay the bills until something comes up.

I will probably continue to have a website for as long as I can though, just to generate extra income.

CybermedAndy 07-12-2005 05:32 PM

Yes, I peddle porn and herbals for a living.

Kevsh 07-12-2005 05:37 PM

If you're a site owner, have a serious stake in the business or otherwise have a lot invested, yes, I'd call it a career. A lot of people probably thinking it was a short-term way to make some coin and years later realize it's their livelihood.

tristan_D 07-12-2005 05:57 PM

well to each his own. stalking hot chicks is my career.

Rochard 07-12-2005 05:58 PM

I've been working this for nearly five years straight. Yes, this is now my career.

swedguy 07-12-2005 07:37 PM

ca·reer

1. A chosen pursuit; a profession or occupation.
2. The general course or progression of one's working life or one's professional achievements: an officer with a distinguished career; a teacher in the midst of a long career.

Yes, this is my chosen pursuit.

Downtime 07-12-2005 07:38 PM

running my company yes, and i'm only 22. will this be my career 10 years from now? who knows.

The Heron 07-12-2005 07:54 PM

It isn't a career, it is a lifestyle!

reed_4 07-12-2005 07:57 PM

i think with the profit i am benefiting from this shit, i would say this is my career till i retire.

TheSenator 07-12-2005 07:59 PM

It's a blessed life... Good money, flexibility with work hours, nice people to deal with (most times hehe), lots of travel and you get to look at naked chicks and get paid for it! What more can you ask for? :)
