No doubt, Alien was a classic. I liked Aliens too but it was not scary - just a great action/sci-fi flick.

GweedZilla 07-12-2005 09:17 AM

Not that its overly scary but I love the remake of house on haunted hill, when they use that twitchy face camera effect, similar to the early marilyn manson videos i get all geeked, love that effect.

Army of Darkness.
Evil Dead.
In the mouth of madness.
Event horizon.
Plan 9 from outer space.
The thing.
Last house on the left.
Susperia.
Triology of terror (ok I like the voodoo doll).
The birds.
Dead by dawn.
Audition.
Dawn of the dead. (79)
Freaks. (32)
Invasion of the body snatchers (56 & 79).
Jacobs ladder.
Scanners.
Phantasm.
The bride of frankenstein. (35)
Nosferatu the Vampyre (79).
Nosferatu (22).
Habit.
Peeping tom. (62)
Curse of the demon. (58)
The bad seed. (56)
Spirits of the dead. (69)
Vampyr. (32)
Re-Animator.
May.
A nightmare on elm street.
The hills have eyes (77).
The innocents. (61)
Dead of night (45).
The Wickerman. (72)
The island of lost souls. (33)
The haunting (63).
Creep Show 1 & 2.

I have tried to leave out good movies that were already listed. Numbers listed are the dates the movie was released. I added these when either the movie was a very old release and or there are other movies by the same name. This is however a brief list of the horror movies everyone should have.
