Non-sexual explicit thumbs on TGP/CJ sites?

Do you think it's ok to use non-sexual explicit thumbs that lead to actual sponor hosted galleries (FHG) with an explicit content? As far as I understand you don't have to keep 2257 on each gallery in case if there are only softcore pictures are stored at your server. E.g. I put only a face of some girl to a thumb, but the link will lead to some hardcore FHG with a same person. Am I correct?

I believe that is the pic comes from any scene that has explicit material on it, you need 2257.

What for? 2257 says you have to keep the docs on explicit content only. So if YOU content is not explicit, why should you care for what it came from? Actually you may even censor (fade or blur) some part of sexual-explicit content to turn it into non-explicit one. For example, like Reality TV channel do that. Do you think they (the Reality TV show) have 2257 docs on all the persons exposed in CENSORED edition, but actually naked? Even MTV and other programs do this. Do you remember those Iraqi pictures of naked prisoners that were published in every newspaper? Course some parts of their bodies were blured out. But should it be also considered as a 2257 violation taking into the account that actual pictures ("the content") were explicit?

actually, last I heard is that censoring or blurring still requires 2257 paperwork. Again I am not a lawyer, but have gotten some very useful info from a few, and we are being extremely cautious.

In a case like this... the burden of proof still falls on the state.

If the state can prove you sat in your mother's basement and cropped a hardcore image, welcome to assrape hell. If not -- mom will cook you some mac & cheese, I'm sure.

(I don't know you AZ and my basement/mom comments were not directed at you.)

Azlord 07-11-2005 05:45 PM

heheh, no worries. I know you're not aiming anything at me.

All I can say/do is be on the safe side. I don't want to take any chances with the law.
