Wow I just got shafted by my grandmother.
 

My grandfather back in Wichita, Kansas was an old skin flint.
Had a lot of money, and buildings in downtown Wichita what his networth was I honestly don't know.

He passed away about a month before my mother did. And just 2 weeks ago my grandmother passed away.

My grandfather left in his will a stipulation that my mother's share would go to her surviving children, as it did with our cousin who's mother passed from Muscular Dystrophy years ago.

Well me, my and my siblings were just served today with papers regarding my grandmother's will.

It seems that the month after my mother passed away my grandmother changed her will leaving us out, but yet still including our cousin.

She in fact gave our share to our rich aunt and uncle down in Marietta, Georgia.

I'm not so bothered by the fact that we got shafted financially, it's a family thing.

My grandmother was a horrid evil bitch. We often joked that the only reason she was still alive was because God and Death were outside her door arguing.."No you go in and get her."

Not only did she leave my mother and her survivors out, but she left my aunt who is in a home with cerebal palsy out of the will too.

She was very abusive to my mother and aunt. In fact my mother and father back in the 60's went to court to take custody of my aunt becausue my grandmother wouldn't take care of her.

Anyway, this is just one more swipe my grandmother took at my mother and her disabled daughter from the grave. I honestly hope that hahahaha rots in hell.

umm... if your grandfather left a share to your mother then your grandmother can't change that, your grandfather's share is his and his only, 50/50 profit share in marriage.

I will have to pull out my grandfather's will, but from what I understand is that when my grandfather died he left everything to his wife, if she were gone then it would go to his children.

However he was the first to go. So it was hers 100% to do with what she wanted.

I guess my grandmother read my rant against TCG and is punishing me for it. :1orglaugh

But right now, me and the rest of my siblings are just stunned.

Well this was one of those events.
It's not even about the money, it's about my mother being shafted by this crank once again...and my mother isn't even around to defend herself..and my grandmother isn't around to explain herself.

Too bad. I have a grandmother like that. She really bothers me with some of the things she has done, but she is the one that has really suffered because her actions keep her from enjoying the company of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. No one will go visit her now. Karma is a bitch.

Personally, the loved folks in my family I hope will all outlive me. From the others I expect nothing.

Although my father was a well-off architect (he's still alive, just retired), I would rather him live on than have a dime of his estate, and I would give everything I have to have my mother back (she passed away in my mid-20s).

My father taught me a strong work ethic and self-reliance. That is worth more than anything he could pass along to me upon his death.

This has nothing to do with money or giving it to people who she felt deserve it. This was just about her being a bitch once again. I don't want the fucking money. Not if it costs me my dignity. I am upset that she took one last swipe at my mother.

No, instead of doing that he just calls to confirm everyone's addresses and says that they only need to make sure there are no new versions of the will out there.

He knew all along what was being sent. He was one of the witnesses on my grandmother's will...this is the same uncle who months after she changed it sent me my grandfather's will telling me that we were to recieve our mother's share when he knew for the last 2 1/2 years that this was untrue.
