Las Vegas Webmasters - Having Trouble With Cox?
 

Man this service has really gone to shit.
The whole kit and kaboodle is going down like daily now.
We lost television, internet and since the phone is VOIP our phone for 3-4 hours on Saturday, 3-4 hours on Sunday and now today the internet connection is up, but it is intermittent, and the television is down again.

I don't have much of a choice, DSL was a joke when I had it. Paid $200 for the same speed I get for $39.95 a month. And DSL was shit too. They blamed it on the phone lines here, saying that they were old so I'm kind of caught between a rock and a hard place.

Ours has been fine. The kids haven't come screaming that their cartoons are messed up and our internet is good. Maybe it's an area thing.

We're in NW. That sucks tho. :( Maybe it's your wires... have you checked the wall connection?

I'm in the NE out by Nellis AFB. And it has been an area wide problem over here.
When I call they always tell me it's an area thing. Jesus I wish they'd figure it out. Makes work almost impossible. :disgust

I've had that problem problem, it would be the inside wiring or the phone lines.

at our old addy the shit went down all the time for extended periods, but a lot of times it was due to water getting into the lines outside or something, which wouldn't be too likely of a culprit here in july :\

My Internet was down for a good part of the day one day, and almost the entire day the next day last week. They gave me the same bs. I'm in the NW area. Luckily I have another line in the house, I hate depending on cable.

we're fine here, internet-wise today, but yeah, up and down and having issues with the digital cable (they finally got a rep out today and he fixed it (was a problem with the cable box) but what sucks is it was reported Wednesday and today was the quickest they could get out here...

For 2 weeks it was up and down in my place between 1 and 7. Turns out someone used the lawnmower on the wires and during those times the sun hit it causing the wires to spread out too much to make a connection.

When they came out to fix it, I didnt have Internet or TV for another week: they fucked up, and they werent able to come out again until the next week.

Finally, someone came over, and turns out they fixed it, but plugged it into the wrong townhouse.

Dumbasses.

Haven't had any problems on the west side.

Im on Trop and it sucks ass, Hasnt been that bad over the past 2 weeks but at least once every month the internet goes down for a few hours, if not the day, plus of course we then lose Vonage.

I just expect it and use it as a reason to take the day off and sit by the pool.
