Who's the Dreamweaver Expert here?

Hi...

I got a site contained in dreamweaver..
In the folder is all the images & pages, but I'd like to take some of the pages out & put them in their own folder & make it into their own site folder..
Is there a way to have the program transfer all the images & files & links associated with selected pages into a new folder, or do I have to move all the images & files by hand?

While in DW, make your new folder and drag what you want over to it.... it'll ask you if you want to update links in those files. Choose yes.

Thanks Amp..
so if I drag a page, & select yes, it'll move all the images..
right?

I'll try & see if that's right..

No.... it won't move the images... but it will update the paths to those images.... then when you move the images, it'll do it again.... you still hafta move the images if you wanna move the images.

I cant seem to open two sites at the same time..
The one that holds the files I want to move, & the new site/folder I just created?

because you can't open 2 sites at the same time. You didn;t say the stuff was from 2 different sites, you said you just wanted to move stuff to a different folder....

so.... if you're moving the stuff from one site to a completely different site, yes... it's going to be a bitch and you will likely hafta update and change everything by hand.

but... if you're just shuffling the whole site... create a new folder on your drive, and copy & paste the whole site over to that folder... (or just rename the current folder in Windows Explorer) then edit your site path in DW to reflect the new folder.... then if you still wanna make new folders and stuff WITHIN the site, do the drag & drop method I spoke of previously.
