What type of camera do you use?

Jus wondering what type of camera the pro or semi-pro photographers here prefer. I am looking for a good digital rig. Don't want to go broke, but would like good quality, and a good selection of features.

TIA for your input

I use the canon 10D. It just depends on what you're shooting. Check into the rebel and 20D.

Well after looking at everything I think I got it down to the Canon 20d, Nikon D100, Canon Eos rebel, or the Nikon D70. After some research I'm sure I'll settle on one soon. Thank you all for your input.

pornguy 07-11-2005 05:38 PM

I have an older Sony FD95, and a Canon 20D. Just depends on what you are looking for.

canon 10d - digital for me.

fetishpix 07-11-2005 11:56 PM

I shoot with Canon 1Ds and a D20 for back up.
Canon has great quality and the images are very consistant.
20D's tend to die around 200,000 exposures on the shutters.

Ya know you can give a guy the same bat that Sammy Sosa uses

that wont help him hit home runs

you can give sammy Sosa a whittled tree limb and that wont stop him from hitting home runs

My point being, if yu know the craft, the tool is, relatively speaking, irrelevant.

Learn the craft...start with "The Camera" By Ansel Adams.

Tim 07-12-2005 06:56 AM

I'm getting into the 20D

imageman 07-12-2005 07:51 AM

Nikon D2x for stills and Canon XL1s for video.

I could agree with that. Then again... Go buy your kid a cheap sears 20$ guitar for him to learn to play on, and it will sound like shit, and not do what it is supposed to. Wont stay in tune, or even go into tune. He will get frustrated and possibly give up on it all together. So I guess there are a few ways to look at that. I will definitely give the Ansel Adams book a look though. Thanks for the tip.

gruvr777 07-12-2005 09:24 AM

Anyone had any experience with the Canon EOS rebel? Any thoughts on this partcular one. I possibly could get a good deal on one of these. 6, or 8 pixel model. Also the 8 mp Olympus evolt e-300.

Thanks for all the fantastic input!
