Screen grab and video edit program question
 

Looking for a couple of programs to edit my video. I'm not sure if I posted this before. I did a search and couldn't find anything under my subscribed threads, but if I did post this before you can have my first born.

First program would capture screen grabs from a DV source and I could set it to take a snapshot at pre-set intervals like every minute or every 5 minutes and so on..... I'm using Vegas Movie Studio now and can't find anything like this on it.

Second program would take a video and cut it up into little mpeg or wmv clips automatically. I could set-it to take a hour video and cut it up into 1 minute clips or whatever I chose.

I've been searching google and ZDnet but can't find anything close.

Vis caps: Frame Shots

For splitting vids: "AVI-MPEG-ASF-WMV Splitter" is what you need.

Can I have your first born now?

Though I will say that doing caps by hand will get you better quality because you stop on the clear frames. It takes more time but the end result is much better.

I am hoping that with a automatic frame grab program, I can capture so many shots that some of them should be good enough quality to use. I have over 200 hours of footage and there is no-way I could do them all one at a time without going insane. I'll try this and see how it goes.

I don't see a demo version of VideoCharge to try it out candyflip, and would hate to waste the $39.95 or $59.95 for the pro version.
