Meet Timmy [pic]
I adopted this guy a couple weeks ago from the local SPCA. He's such a great dog - very friendly and housebroken. He's a little less than a year old, and he's a lab mix. Not sure what the mix is though.
I'm lucky to have gotten this shot 5 min ago, because after I took it I found out he's absolutely terrified of my digi cam. :( http://www.xlabor.com/etc/timmy.jpg |
If my master was an adult webmaster, and caught me on the bed, with a digital cam in hand....i'd be terrified as well.

that dog lookes scared...very scared.

cute but yeah he looks scared
|
Yeah, I think this is the last time I will take a pic of him.
He also looks like that a lot - has that look in his eyes trying to tell me that he's done something very bad. I don't know, he's a happy dog though. |

Cute dog..maybe he was abused because he looks very timid
|
Very cute, and looks like the kind to follow you anywhere. We have two dogs. the loving one is a rescue mutt, and the other is a prue breed, that does not give a shit what you do or say.

maybe he was hit alot by his old owner. just be patient with him and socialize him lots and he'll come around. :)
I for one don't believe in hitting animals for something they've done wrong. Most of the time it's the owners fault anyway. |

I wish I knew what he was mixed with. |

I've been reading a lot online about training and the like, and apparantly dogs can not make a connection between getting hit and something they did wrong anyways. The SPCA told me the previous owner was a Female, and she got rid of him because he is destructive when he is alone. He is, but not nearly enough to warrent getting rid of him. All he does really is knock over the trashcans, but I solved that problem. I just hope he doesn't acquire a taste for my brand new sectional. :) |

The dog we saved off of the streets is one of the best dogs we ever had, but he was very timid, and much bigger thann the puppy we saved along with him, but he was that puppy's bitch. That puppy would steal his food, and Buddy would just go sit dejected looking in a corner. Something just told me he wasn't treated very well. He was abused or neglected, either one made him one scared dog who would shake and cry when you'd let him inside. We kept him and gave up the puppy, and he's a very happy dog. In fact he's spoiled now. |
