Seattle Restaurants, Whats good?

I know a bunch of you are from the seattle area so help me out here :thumbsup

Need some suggestions for a nice romantic place to take the wife for dinner in seattle. Any sunset cruise/dinner types of things or something nice in general.

El Goucho on 1st - around the corner from Belltown Billiards ... it's been a few years since I've been there but that was one of the best (if I'm remembering the name correctly).

:winkwink:

Pretty much anything in Belltown is good.

Expo_Vids 07-10-2005 07:08 PM

remember to get your coffee at Cherry Street Coffee House in Belltown or in Pioneer Square.

Two places I liked when I was there (totally different types):

Lowell's in Pike Place and Brasserie Margaux at the Warwick Inn.

There were some good fast places at the Space Needle mall too, but I can't remember the names of them :(

FX McRory's is a fun place with good eats:

Daniel's Broiler on Lake Union http://www.schwartzbros.com/daniels.cfm#anchor1
or El Gaucho http://www.elgaucho.com/elgaucho/_seattle/index.htm

Ivar's has become somewhat of a chain over the year's, but their chowder is still good, especially if you are strolling along the seafront.

If you have some time on your hands and want some exceptional dining in a beautiful location, then consider the Salish Lodge (approx. 30 miles from Seattle).

They have an award winning menu and the view of Snoqualmie Falls is breathtaking (if you recall the waterfalls shown at the start of the TV series "Twin Peaks", then you have seen it):

I'm looking for romantic, I dont think Ivars falls into that category :winkwink:

I don't care about the price on this one, I just want somewhere super nice. I haven't been to Seattle in many years so I have no idea what's good.

Forgot the link to the Salish Lodge. Very romantic and the rooms are nice for an overnight trip too:

PersianKitty 07-10-2005 07:34 PM

Also.. if you're really set on a dinner cruise,... http://www.argosycruises.com/royalargosy/default.cfm

LOL, I missed the part about romantic ;) The Brasserie Margaux is semi-romantic and they have great wine pairing menus if you're into that :)

I am not, I am from jersey.

J.R. 07-10-2005 10:56 PM

Ryan,

Why don't use do PF Changs in Bellevue, that's a good place
to eat and it can be romantic if you get a booth.

Expo_Vids 07-10-2005 11:00 PM

Whatever you do, do not go to this restaurant unless you want to rub shoulders with the Gates family, Jeff Bezos, or the CEO for Nintendo USA.
