Thinking od getting a MAc................

Which one is good? Desktop.

I'm thinking about getting a mini mac to play with

The adjustment is actually not as tough as most people think. Anymore most major companies make their software mac and pc compatible. Only real trouble is if you are a gamer, since most big games are PC only. But when you consider, especially in this industry, programs like Macromedia and Photoshop are PC and Mac (and most of those types work better on a Mac).

If you have a lot of 'essential' programs that are PC only, look into the program WinPC. It lets you run a windows emulation on Mac (but that's the extent of my knowledge on it).

Be careful of emulation

Emulation programs that i have used run so fucking slow, less than half normal speed so don't buy based on emulating PC software on a Mac you will be disappointed

I've never used one, I've used Macs for years, I just know they're out there. Multi-compatible software should actually become more common since Macs are switching to Intel processors. So theoretically it should be easier on companies to make their software compatible, of course that doesn't mean they will.

Juicy,

Go to the Mac store and look at how powerful the software that comes with them are. They have an innate HD Movie editor. Once HD cams come down in price, any Mac user will be capable of making an HD Movie. :)

Get a mac mini...they are $500. Good way to try it out first and if you don`t like it you can always keep it as a media box.Or sell it.Or give it to me.
