can take a text file list of gallery URLs and create an output report, (preferably with a configurable seperator - but the report itself is more important), with content type / quantity? Something stand alone.

I honestly don't have a clue what are you trying to do, simple example might help

What are you trying to do?

Basically it would be a link checker / gallery scanner that would determine the quantity and type of content. Something like Xenu Link Sleuth only rather than checking for dead links, it scans them for content. This would be for sponsor hosted gals that aren't seperated by content and have no # of images / movies.

You tell the script / ap which text file to use, and in that text file you have a simple gallery url list:

http://www.gallery1.url
http://www.gallery2.url
etc.

and the script could output something like:

http://www.gallery1.url|16|Pictures
http://www.gallery2.url|4|Movies
