I haven't seen anything in the mainstream press about this (LA Times, ABC7 News, etc). It sounds like a story that would surely be picked up and reported on.

Also, since the event happened 15 hours after the report on ********, I'm a bit surprised that it doesn't give any indication of the extent of the injury, etc.

Sounds like this is just tabloid style sleazey hype. If so, that sucks almost as much as if Evan had really been shot.
